commented on the excellent presentations and how they
planned to implement the many new ideas within their
chapters.
Decorations were so lovely that those sisters
responsible for them were immediately asked to
decorate for the President's Banquet at Penn State next
June. The food (a gourmet menu), provided by Union's
new food services was delicious. Of course, as always

when Delta Kappa Gamma sisters get together, the


fellowship and laughter were abundant.
Attending a Fall Area Conference is a great way to
begin your involvement beyond the chapter level. Now,
let's go on to the Alpha Alpha State convention at Penn

President Sue Stamm presided over the August meeting


of the Administrative Board and welcomed Alpha Alpha
State officers and committee chairs. She reviewed her
goals for the biennium: 1) to have representation of at
least 56 chapters at the 2010 State Convention: we had
51 chapters represented; 2) to increase the number of
incoming chapter presidents attending the pre-
convention Leadership Training by 10%; 3) to improve
communication between state officers/committees and
chapters by any available methods; and 4) to instill in
the minds of all members the 7 Purposes of the Society
so they can be recalled easily.

evening as well as on Saturday. Some of you will not
be able to travel until later in the day due to your
teaching obligations; regardless, your space will be
reserved so you can set up your exhibit whenever you
arrive.
