● Measure the depth from top of snow to the ground (in metric.)
● If available, measure the temperature (Celsius) of the snow in three different places.
● Using a ONE CUP measuring cup, let the snow melt and record the water volume (in
metric.)
● Test the hardness of the snow with your finger, by tapping gently.
● Record all results in a graph, take pictures!!!! and submit under Snow Day assignment
Edmodo.

Global Studies
Study Sheppard Software
Watch this 13 Colonies video from BrainPop http://youtu.be/COKn180PuMI, taking notes.
Then, in a Google Doc shared ONLY with ME (Lewman) create 15 quiz questions WITH
ANSWERS, based on the information from the video.

Math/P:
● BAIP: You should have 8 tutorials finished.
● OWOTW: 2 Lessons
● Study Island: 2 Lessons

Math/Neely:
● ESSDACK OWOTW: 2 lessons
● Study Island: 2 lessons
● BAIP: you should be work toward completing on standard.

Communications:
● ESSDACK OWOTW: 2 lessons (if you’re not complete with 5 units)
● Study Island: 2 lessons

Music:
● Orchestra - Do 2 specially assigned lessons in Smart Music due at the end of the day
(If you left your instrument at school you should do it on Wednesday)
● World Percussion, Choir, and Piano - Create a 30second - 2minute song/clip in
GarageBand that represents the Winter weather outside (if it helps, imagine walking
outside in a blind-fold). If you can, use REAL instruments, but you can also use the loops
built into GarageBand. Be sure to use 4/8/16 measure phrases. Email the finished mp3
to Charlie.
● Guitar - Choose one song that you want to work on next. It should have chords and
notes that you can easily figure out. Google/youtube are your friend to find tabs/chords.
Once you have your choice email it to Charlie and start working on it. Here are some
possibilities, but you can choose others:
○ Weezer - Pork and Beans
○ Johnny Cash - Hurt
○ There are several here as well: http://www.guitar-players-toolbox.com/easy-
guitar-tabs.html

FUN PROJECT MENU

Pick one to complete

Winter Survival
1) Research what needs to go into the trunk of your car for a survival kit and
2) create one for your family vehicle. Take pics of all that you put into it and post to Flickr or
create a movie (iMovie, Animoto, Stupefy).
3) THEN make a list of things you should NOT do if you are stranded in the winter. Post this list
with your visual presentation.
