While exploring on the internet I came to know that the Dell Boomi official online
video training courses are available with different topics starting from Boomi
Essential to Advanced (7 courses totally around 15+ hours). I have prepared a ramp
up plan with these courses (for the first course, ramp-up plan for rest of the
topics will be provided shortly) and the same is updated in Google Sheet
(https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eKith3yFPxHL9rLP0xATjdpIDSNOSFQWMBxiI-
EbGiE/edit?usp=sharing) along with start date and finish dates, below FYR. Kindly,
update the start date and finish date in Google Sheet as per your ramp up plans and
go through the online courses, lets sync up every day around 5:30PM.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
On Premises:
In an on-premises environment, resources are deployed in-house and within an
enterprise’s IT infrastructure. An enterprise is responsible for maintaining the
solution and all its related processes.

Cloud:
While there are different forms of cloud computing (such as public cloud, private
cloud, and a hybrid cloud), in a public cloud computing environment, resources are
hosted on the premises of the service provider but enterprises are able to access
those resources and use as much as they want at any given time.

What is SaaS
------------
Software as a Service is an inclusive term that means cloud-based software.

SaaS is a solution that is hosted for you entirely in the cloud, meaning that no
part of it resides on premise. These solutions don't require you to buy or house
hardware to run. The vendor helps you get everything set up, and the interface is
hosted on servers in the cloud. The software isn't something you buy, but instead
is a solution you lease month to month. SaaS can refer to many different types of
cloud-based solutions

What is iPaaS
-------------
iPaaS is a specific type of SaaS. 'Integration Platform as a Service' .

enables integration of both on-premise and cloud-based services, applications, and

data. In other words, an iPaaS platform collects and integrates the data from
numerous disparate systems and sources (such as your CRM, finance, marketing, and
customer support software) and combines that data into one, consolidated system
with a single interface.

iPaaS connects to all of the various cloud services you use (such as Salesforce,
Hubspot, Recurly, etc.) and pulls data from each of those systems. The data is then
normalized and delivered in a single, comprehensive interface. From these different
systems, you can use the iPaaS to create an entirely new, unique service. It allows
for data collection across systems in disparate formats to be integrated and
unified into a single stream of data for analysis, business intelligence, etc.

If you’re considering moving your ecommerce business to the Cloud, here are three
important acronyms to wrap your head around:

IaaS.
PaaS.
SaaS.
These are the three main types of cloud computing.

You’ve probably heard of them before; they’re all experiencing a surge in

popularity as more businesses move to the Cloud.

SaaS accounts for approximately 24% of all enterprise workloads (up from 14% in
2016)
IaaS is hovering around 12% (up from 6%).
PaaS is currently the most popular model, hovering around 32% and expected to grow
in 2020.
With uptake rates like these, cloud computing is becoming the norm, and many
businesses are phasing out on-premise software altogether.

The Key Differences Between On-Premise, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS

Not so long ago, all of a company’s IT systems were on-premise, and clouds were
just white fluffy things in the sky.

Now, you can utilize the Cloud platform for nearly all your systems and processes.

SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS are simply three ways to describe how you can use the cloud
for your business.

IaaS: cloud-based services, pay-as-you-go for services such as storage, networking,

and virtualization.
PaaS: hardware and software tools available over the internet.
SaaS: software that’s available via a third-party over the internet.
On-premise: software that’s installed in the same building as your business.
Here’s a great visual breakdown from Hosting Advice:

Examples of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS

---------------------------------
Most businesses use a combination of SaaS and IaaS cloud computing service models,
and many engage developers to create applications using PaaS, too.

SaaS examples: BigCommerce, Google Apps, Salesforce, Dropbox, MailChimp, ZenDesk,

DocuSign, Slack, Hubspot.

PaaS examples: AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Heroku, Windows Azure (mostly used as PaaS),
Force.com, OpenShift, Apache Stratos, Magento Commerce Cloud.

IaaS examples: AWS EC2, Rackspace, Google Compute Engine (GCE), Digital Ocean,
Magento 1 Enterprise Edition*.

Atom
Atom Clouds are the third and most robust type of runtime engine, in addition
to Atoms and Molecules
Atom Cloud
multi-tenant, meaning that one instance of the AtomSphere platform serves
multiple customers at once
Component
Components are the reusable configuration objects used in processes.
Connector
Connectors get data into and send data out of processes
They are actually comprised of two components: a connection and an
operation
connection as the "where" and the operation as the "how"
Document
A document is a set of data that goes through a process.
Map
Maps allow data to be transformed from one format to another — or
specifically, from one profile to another.
Process
Processes represent a single type of data to integrate between two or more
systems.
They are comprised of a series of steps (represented in the UI by
shapes) that specify the business logic and transformation requirements.

Profile
Profiles define the structure or layout of the data to be processed
They are used when reading from or writing to a given format
Database, EDI, Flat File, XML, JSON
Shape
Process shapes are the steps linked together to form the business logic for a
process.
