Language and Math

This  week  in  Language  we  studied  the  letter  W.    Along  with  a
WONDERFUL  letter  W  poster  we  were  able  to  practice  our  writing;
study  our  star  word  ‘with’;  learn  some  new  things  about  whales;  and
read  Mrs.  Wishy-‐Washy  all  by  ourselves!      We  even  had  4  friends  take
AR  quizzes  this  week!    WOW!    We  had  a  spectacular  week  in  language
and  I  am  so  glad  to  see  so  many  Kindergartners  working  so  hard!
Snow! Keep  up  the  reading  at  home  –  it  is  showing!

Next  week  we  will  study  the  letter  O!    If  your  child  has  a  special  item

time  with  it!   we  can  get  them  all  taken  care  of!    Other  days  are  fine  too,  it  just
helps  to  have  the  majority  on  one  day,  since  the  children  still  need
assistance  taking  these.

In  Math  we  practiced  reading  addition  and  subtraction  sentences!

We  also  painted  some   You  should  be  hearing  your  child  share  these  with  you!    Ask  them  to

collection  of  100  things  they  would  like  to  bring  in  on  the  100th  day  of
school!    Be  sure  that  your  child  is  counting  them  and  help  them  to  be
as  creative  as  they  would  like!    If  you  have  any  questions,  feel  free  to
ask!    We  have  had  collections  of  100  pieces  of  ‘junk’  to  100  legos  glued
