Grace® Cemfiber®
Polypropylene Fibres
Description Typical Properties
Grace® Cemfiber® is a high performance micro Appearance: Polypropylene Fibre
polypropylene fibre developed as a crack controlling Specific Gravity: 0.91 g/cm3
additive for cementitious materials. It is available in two Alkali Content: Nil
grades, designated by its fibre length, 12mm for concrete Sulphate Content: Nil
and 6mm for mortar. It is used to inhibit the formation of Air Entrainment: Air content of concrete will not be
small cracks which can occur through plastic shrinkage, significantly increased
premature drying and early thermal changes, in order to Chloride Content: Nil
provide utilization of the intrinsic properties of the hardened Constituents: Polypropylene C3H6
cementitious material. Fibre Length: 12 mm
Fibre Thickness: 18 micron (2 Denier)
Grace® Cemfiber® is based on selected raw materials and Specific Surface Area: 244 m2/kg
manufactured under controlled conditions to give a
consistent product. Method Of Use
® ® Grace® Cemfiber® is supplied ready for use, and in measured
Grace Cemfiber is sold and distributed under license from quantities for addition to the concrete mix either at the
ADFIL, UK. batching plant or on site.
Grace® Cemfiber® 12mm fibre length is designed for
cementitious mixes, which exhibit, a maximum aggregate Compatibility with Cements and
size greater than 5mm (i.e. concrete, etc), and Grace® other Admixtures
Cemfiber® 6mm fibre length, for cementitious mixes Grace® Cemfiber® can be used with all types of cement and is
exhibiting maximum aggregate sizes of less than 5mm (i.e. compatible with other admixtures.
Mortar, etc). See Grace® Cemfiber® F6 Technical Data
Sheet.
