What is Membrane Diffuser?

A porous Tube or Disc or Strip through which air is forced and divided
into minute bubbles for diffusion in the water thereby increasing
the oxygen quantity in the water or the fluid. This is
advanced in the view of better performance, high oxygen transfer
efficiency, low power consumption and cost effective due to low
maintenance.
Fine bubble membrane diffuser generally delivers greatest energy saving When they can be
distributed in more uniform distribution on the floor of the basin. In diffused type of aeration
system the size of the bubble play a major role. Bubble diameter can critically affect process
efficiency because it determines the surface area of the bubbles.
Surprisingly, the most important factor has been found to be the ratio of the surface energy of
the diffuser material at the water interface to the surface tension of the liquid. The higher the
ratio, the smaller the bubbles.

The suspension biological packing is called BIO-FILTER MEDIA. The BIO-FILTER MEDIA is
made of polypropylene/ Polyethylene/ Special Polymer Quality. Its modified polymeric
materials with the promoted additions of bio-emzyme, it improves the enzymatic catalysis,
so it possess excellences of larger specific surface, being easy to multiply biofilm, difficult
falling off, high denitrification, good hydrophile, high biological activity and so on. The Bio
Media provided from us is self cleaning and provide excellent surface ratio. The Bio-Film
grows on the bio media surface that moves along with the water inside the reactor
chamberand creates “Attach Microbe Bed” which carries the Biomass, also known as MBBR

Tube Settler Systems for Clarification

Tube settlers and parallel plates increase the

settling capacity of circular clarifiers and/or
rectangular sedimentation basins by reducing the
vertical distance a floc particle must settle before
agglomerating to form larger particles. Tube
o
settlers 60 and adjacent to each other, which
combine to form an increased effective setting
area. This provides for a particle settling depth of a
conventional clarifier, reducing settling times.
Tube settlers capture the settleable fine floc that
escapes the clarification zone beneath the tube
settlers and allows the larger floc to travel to the
TM-120 tank bottom in a more settleable form. The tube
settler’s channel collects solids into a compact
mass which promotes the solids to slide down the
tube channel.

Sludge De-Watering Unit
We offer highly effective sludge de-watering system which is a solid liquid separation device.
Waste Water Treatment process-generates huge quantities of SLUDGE in slurry form. This
device works on the principle of pressure feeding due to which it delis optimum output at the
site of installation. W2P has a unique Sludge de-watering equipment for the de-watering of
the sludge and recovering the filtrate media i.e. water or process liquids. The moisture
content remains very low & sludge is taken out in care form it is manual or hydraulic operated
hence the closing & opening operation is very easy & can be operated by unskilled labor. The
dry cake sludge reduces the overall weight of the WWTP sludge there by the disposal cost of
the same. A feeding pump is used to force liquid through the medium leaving solid particles
trapped inside. W2P-Dewatering System can also be used for recovery of oil from surface
grinding operations where oil is used & re-circulated to the grinders.

BELT FILTER PRESS
Belt filter press is a continuous sludge de-watring device which uses chemical
conditioning gravity drainage and mechanically-applied pressure to de-water sludge. First
the conditioned sludge is introduced through a hopper to gravity drainage section where
thickening takes place through the drainage of free water through the belt. Suspended
solids concentration increases in this section. Following this sludge is subjected to
gradual increasing pressure by squeezing opposing belt fabric. The belts are held in
place by series of rollers that subjects the sludge to shearing forces as belt pass through
a series of rollers that define a serpentine path. Theses forces thus introduced release
additional quantities of water from sludge increasing the solid content further. A
continuous water spray keeps the pores of belt get plugged. The sludge cake is out at the
out let end.

CENTRIFUGE
In basket centrifuge, the solids & liquids are separated by centrifugal force using a filter
media (usually a cloth) mounted over supporting mesh which are together supported
inside the rotating basket. The slurry to be filtered is fed through the feed nozzles to the
basket and due to centrifugal force the liquid is forced out through the filter media while
solids are retained within the filter media inside the basket. These solids then separated
are discharged by various discharging methods namely- manually, bag lifting basket,
through scrapper, operated manually/pneumatically/hydraulically, for which different
models are available.

AERATORS
FIXED FLOATING
Aeration is the process of bringing water and air
into close contact in order to remove dissolved
gases, such as carbon dioxide, and to oxidize
dissolved metals such as iron. It can also be
used to remove volatile organic chemicals (VOC)

in the water.
Aeration is often the first major process at the
treatment plant. During aeration, constituents are
removed or modified before they can interfere
with the treatment processes. Aeration is used to
treat tastes and odors, to help remove minerals
such as iron and manganese from water, and to
remove carbon dioxide from the water. Aeration removes or modifies the constituents of
water using two methods - scrubbing action and oxidation. Scrubbing action is caused
by turbulence which results when the water and air mix together. The scrubbing action
physically removes gases from solution in the water, allowing them to escape into the
surrounding air. In the picture above, carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide are shown
being removed by scrubbing action. Scrubbing action will remove tastes and odors from
water if the problem is caused by relatively volatile gases and organic compounds.
Oxidation is the other process through which aeration purifies water. Oxidation is the
addition of oxygen, the removal of hydrogen, or the removal of electrons from an element
or compound. When air is mixed with water, some impurities in the water, such as iron
and manganese, become oxidized. Once oxidized, these chemicals fall out of solution
and become suspended in the water. The suspended material can then be removed later
in the treatment process through filtration.

There are a number of approaches that can be
taken in calculating oxygen demand. What is
provided here are some empirical or rule-of-thumb
guides to estimate the oxygen requirement for
activated sludge. They are :

applied to a conventional activated sludge

CLARIFIER
FIXED FLOATING
A clarifier is a device which clarifies Waste Water through the process of settling of heavy
particles of sludge (impurities) as well as suspended matter in water. Sludge and
suspended impurities being heavier settle at the bottom of the clarifier tank. A scraper
blade rotates at the bottom of the conical bottom tank. This scraps the sludge settled on
the slope of the conical bottom. The blades through their gradual sweeping action bring
down the sludge to the centre of the clarifier tank, from where it is pumped out. Thus
sludge and sediment material is continuously removed from the bottom of the clarifier
tank. Some times in specific cases a scum removal mechanism is also provided to skim
off the oil floating at the top of the clarifier tank.

Clariflocculator are generally used for chemical primary treatment for effluent. Instead
of separate flocculation & clarification, clariflocculators are generally used. This
results into economical and faster installation of primary treatment. W2P
Clariflocculators are having high torque centre drive with sludge arm device. We are
the only manufacturers to provide this feature as standard. main feature of
clariflocculator, unlike other is, concentric paddle type flocculator mechanism which
creates the flocs throughout the flocclation zone.

UV DISINFECTION
The main concern with chemical treatment is the formation of disinfection by-products
that are left behind in the water. In particular, chlorine is suspected to increase the levels
of carcinogenic substances as a result of reactions with organic material in the water.
During the early days of water treatment, scientists discovered that in nature the sun was
responsible for natural control of bacteria in rivers and lakes.
W2P Ultra Violet Systems are designed to reproduce the power of the sun, producing
ultra violet rays to destroy pathogenic micro-organisms within a matter of seconds.
The effectiveness of a UV disinfection system depends on the characteristics of the
wastewater, the intensity of UV radiation, The amount of time the microorganisms are
exposed to the radiation, and the reactor configuration. For any one treatment plant
disinfection success is directly related to the concentration of colloidal and particulate
constituents in the wastewater.

most viruses, spores and cysts.
S UV disinfection is a physical process rather
that a chemical disinfectant, which eliminates
the need to generate, handle, transport, or
store toxic/hazardous or corrosive chemicals.
S There is no residual effect that can be

S UV disinfection has a shorter contact time
when compared with other disinfectants
(approximately 20 to 30 seconds with low-
pressure lamps).
S UV disinfection equipment requires less
space than other methods.
