Possible Answers:
 The author exposes different characters related to Helen Keller’s life.
 Since the piece is a Biography, the author perfectly uses plot in
describing Helen Keller’s journey from birth to death.
 The author uses imagery in describing how difficult the life of Keller
was when she lost her sight,
 The author also exposes the readers to the theme of the piece by
ending it using a strong statement which will lead to readers’
realization about life.

Possible answer: Writing requires creativity. It improves the quality of a
literary piece. Since nonfiction is a true story, the more it needs to be
creative where in the writer has to push himself to “go out from the box “
and use elements in making his piece/s worth reading .

MODULE 3
1. Explain the relationship of elements and ideas found in the various forms
and types of creative nonfictional texts through a close reading.
Possible Answer: The relationship of elements/ideas in the various forms
and types of creative nonfictional texts differs according to how a writer
makes use of each element prior to the forms of nonfictional texts.
Example: If a writer writes a biography, he can never invent or change
facts. But if he is writing a personal narratives, he can freely inject his
personal thoughts.

2. Compare narrative nonfiction with a news article/ literary journalism.


Explain at least two similarities and one difference between these
nonfiction passage types.
Possible Ans. Similarities may include the following: use of facts,
accuracy, realism, sequence, third-person point of view. Differences may
include the following: Narrative nonfiction may express the opinions or
feelings of the author and may be written in first person. News articles are
free of opinion/bias and should have verifiable facts. Narrative nonfiction
and news articles may have different purposes.
