A Personal Word
Often people say to me, “Oral Roberts, tell me how to
pray. What do I say to God?”
I reply, “Why don’t you talk to Him as a Heavenly Father
and say, ‘Father...' and then tell Him whatever is in your
heart.”
My mother was helpful to me on this point. Before I
became a Christian, she often urged me to pray. One day I
said to her, “I don’t know how to pray.”
And she said, “Son, you don’t have to know how to pray.
All you have to do is tell God what you feel in your heart.
Then have a little faith. The Lord will do the rest.”
Through the years I have been unable to improve upon
my mother’s simple, forthright formula for prayer.
I still pray this way today. The prayers in this book are
born out of my life and experiences. I share them with you
with the hope that they will help you in your prayer life.
I pray that Jesus Christ of Nazareth will become a real
person to you, that you will reach out in your heart and take
Him as your Savior. Take Him as your Source. Take Him as
the provider of the things that you need. I pray that you will
start giving of your inner self and praying for others and
believing and expecting a miracle. God bless you. God heal
you. God meet your needs. And I believe He will!!

1 A New Beginning
Lord, help me to realize deep in my heart that today is
the first day of the rest of my life with You, Jesus. Today I
can begin again.
In the past I have stumbled and fallen short, but today I
begin again. I have faced problems too complex—too big for
me to handle—and things have gone from bad to worse. I
have failed before to receive my healing because I have not
looked to You as my Source. But today! NOW! I believe You
for my deliverance. For this is the first day of the rest of my
life WITH YOU, JESUS!!
Let this be a time of miracles... of renewing... of life... and
deliverance through Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

9
2 To Put God First
GOD! I praise You today. I thank You that You are all-
powerful, all-wise, present everywhere at the same time.
Help me to look to You as the Source of my supply, to put
You FIRST, to expect miracles.
JESUS! In Your name, I believe You are working in me
and for my concerns. I receive Your presence into my whole
being this moment, and I believe for miracles from Your
hand.
HOLY SPIRIT! Help me to open my inner self to Jesus, to
release myself to Him, to be His witness where I am.
IN JESUS’ NAME! I believe.
Amen.
My God shall supply all your need according to
his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

11
3 A Prayer for the New Year
As I begin this new year, dear God, I trust in You. And I
expect from You, for Your Word says, "My God shall supply
all your need...."
So now, Lord, I ask for Your guidance, which is above all
guidance... for the inspiration above all inspiration... and for
that power that is without limit.
Jesus of Nazareth—Warm my heart ... Blossom my
intellect... Stimulate my imagination... And strengthen my
body. Let me dream dreams and see visions—and let me put
legs to my dreams and visions.
As I stand on the brink of the unexplored, I look now with
shining hope ... with reverent awe... and with dynamic
faith.... I know that something good is going to happen to me!
Blessed be the name of God!
Amen.

13
4 When You Are Fearful
Lord, Jesus, I thank You for the strength of Your healing
presence. Open my eyes and my heart that I may become
truly aware of You, in this moment. Let me feel You standing
beside me, speaking peace to my troubled spirit. Jesus, I am
so gripped with fear and I need the comfort of Your presence.
I ask now that You will release me from tension... from worry
... from any feeling of fear.
Let there be a restfulness in You... a settling down in the
broad arms of faith in God. Give me a new and vigorous
feeling that will stimulate and motivate me to trust You
completely.
I believe and I accept Your peace—NOW. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

15
5 God of the Now
Father, I come in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, who is my Lord and Savior, who is down here
where I am... where my needs are.
Lord, too often I want to live in the past... or in the
future... forgetting the problems and challenges of the
present. Help me to realize that You are the God of the
NOW! With You, this moment is the most important moment
of my life. It is NOW that You want to give me a miracle.
I pray that my needs will be met—beginning this
MOMENT—through Jesus Christ, my Lord. Amen and
Amen.

17
6 Measures So Great
Father, I thank You that You are my Source—You are my
Source for life itself. But at times You seem so far away. Yet
by faith I know that You are here... with me... at the point of
my need. Lord, I long to know and to feel Your presence, for
in Your presence there is life. I pray that the Holy Spirit will
be poured out upon me... in measures that I’ve never known
before ... measures so great that I will be a different person—
a changed person—a transformed person—knowing that my
needs shall be met!!
May I be especially aware this day of Your presence...
Your love... Your power... that makes me a whole person,
through Jesus Christ I pray.
Amen.

19
7 For a Friend in Need
My Father, I come in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ
of Nazareth. And I pray for my friend who has a great need.
Father, I lift him up before Your heart... Your heart that is as
big as the world... as big as the needs of mankind... and, oh,
so much bigger than our individual needs.
I lift him to You who makes all of our dreams come true
as they correspond with Your love. I look to You in hope and
faith.
Now, Father, may Your healing presence and power fill
my friend in a new and remarkable way. God lift him up.
Strengthen him in the inner man. Heal his being, his body,
his entire self. God supply his needs. This I ask in the name
of Jesus of Nazareth. And I believe,
Amen.

21
8 “According to His Riches..."
Jesus, I thank You because You have promised to meet
all my needs according to Your riches in glory. Not according
to the size of my need—but according to Your riches, You
will supply it!!
Whether prices are high or low... jobs are plentiful or
scarce... business is up or down... Your supply remains
stable. You are as much God during times of undersupply as
oversupply. My need can never exceed Your supply! How I
praise You for this assurance.
So I refuse to look to any man. I refuse to look at any
problem. I look to YOU—the answer to my problem. I look to
You, my Source, the Son of the Living God—and I magnify
You.
Amen.

23
9 When Faced With a Challenge
Father, in this incomparable moment... when my heart is
racing within me... when I look at the severe challenges
facing me... and I stand with the wind blowing in my face...
with the roar of drums in my ears... and the sound of battle
out ahead, I bow my heart to You, the Living God.
I feel You, Holy Spirit, burning in my heart—and my
Savior standing at my side.
I am excited! I thank You, Father, for the privilege of
being alive—for the tremendous opportunities that stretch
out before me. I ask You now to help me accept these
challenges. Help me, Lord, to glorify the name that is above
every name, the name of Your only begotten Son, my Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good
measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and
running over, shall men give into your bosom. For
with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be
measured to you again.
Luke 6:38

25
10 The Horn of Plenty
O God, my Heavenly Father, I come to You NOW—
reaching out to You—the Source of abundant life.
Lord, I don’t want to live on the little end of Christianity.
I want to live on the horn of plenty. Lord, You said, “Give,
and it shall be given unto you.” So I open myself up to
give today... through a smile... or a kind word... a gift of
money... or understanding ... a listening ear... and a sincere,
concerned heart. I do this in faith, knowing that as I become
a giving person, I must also become a receiving person. The
one follows the other—just as I must breathe out to breathe
in so I must first give before I can receive.
And, Lord, I give joyfully, looking to You for the harvest
that I know will come! I pray and I believe and I expect a
miracle.
Amen.

27
11 When You Have Failed
Father, I thank You that You are my Heavenly Father
and that I am Your child. As Your child I come asking for
Your help, Your forgiveness, Your strength, and Your
guidance.
I’ve failed once again, Lord, but I’m going to start over.
I’ve been looking to results as my Source. People have helped
me in the past and I’ve failed to recognize that they are only
instruments—You are my SOURCE.
I know that by looking to You, Heavenly Father, I can be
confident... I can be positive... I can be expectant ... for I
know You will provide my needs. Help my faith to reach out
and touch Jesus so that my needs will be supplied. I ask it in
His name,
Amen.

29
12 Give and You Shall Receive
Lord, I thank You for the privilege of giving... for Your
blessing which makes it possible for me to give and to
receive.
Jesus, You said, “Give, and it shall be given unto
you....” I don’t understand this—I’d rather receive than give.
But, Lord, I know that a farmer must sow seed to reap a
harvest—otherwise, he’ll reap only weeds.
So I am giving to You because You said that not only will
You give back to me but also men, whether they know it or
not, will be God-inspired to be generous with me!
Now... I release my faith as I give. May a miracle of God
come to me. Through Jesus Christ, my Lord, I pray.
Amen.

31
13 Enough Time
Dear Lord, I rejoice because You are my Source for every
need... that You have provided a way for every need to be
met.
My problem is time. It seems I don’t have enough time,
Lord, to do even the necessary things—scarcely any time to
work for You. I don’t understand how my time can be
multiplied by giving it away. But I’ll take time today to help
someone else—whomever You send me to.
I’ll do this, for I remember that if I give You nothing...
and even if You were to multiply it... I would still have
nothing.
Time is what I need, so, Lord, I give You time! And I
expect You to renew my time constantly. It will take a
miracle—but You are a God of miracles. In the name of
Christ I pray and I believe.
Amen.

33
14 To Confess Christ as Savior
Father, I pray for Your miracle power to touch my life.
Forgive my sins and heal my diseases. Meet my needs
through the power of Your Son, Jesus. Take away this
heaviness of heart. And give me Your forgiveness... Your
peace... Your salvation.
Give me a new nature, a new life—make me whole in
body, mind, and spirit. For I believe in my heart and confess
with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And I
receive Him into my heart—right now—as my Lord and
Savior.
Now, may You be so near that I can feel You... and know
You through Your Son, Jesus.
I pray and I believe, and I expect a miracle.
Amen.

35
15 When You Need a Job
Dear Lord, it’s great to be Your child ... to know You as
Lord and Savior. I thank You, Lord, that You have not only
prepared Heaven for me, but You are concerned with my
needs being met between now and Heaven-going time.
And Lord! I need employment. You promised that You
would meet my needs—“according to Your riches in
glory by Christ Jesus.” So I’m looking to You as my
SOURCE!
With all my heart I give my total self to You—as a seed of
faith I sow—and I EXPECT A MIRACLE!
Guide me today as I talk to prospective employers. Help
me, Lord, for I am depending on You. I pray... and I believe...
and I expect it to happen.
Amen.

37
16 Evidence for Your Faith
Lord, I thank You that I have tremendous assets: I know
You are at the center of my life-—I know You are a good God.
You have demonstrated that You do answer prayer and
perform miracles of healing.
I have been giving to Your work so I have Seed-Faith
working.
And I have a Source that never fails: God!
Because of these things I have evidence on which to base
my faith. I can now expect help from God.... I know it will
come—sooner or later! My need will be met!!
I believe this with all my heart because I believe in God
and I believe in prayer.
Amen.
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest
prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 John 2

39
17 For Strength in Growing Older
Lord, Your Word says, “Goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life.” I thank You, Lord, for
this surplus of strength... that I can think of being overtaken
with Your goodness and mercy at every bend of the road.
Today, Lord, give me a keen enthusiasm for life, a lively
curiosity, and a burning interest in what this day holds for
me. Free me from a small life—of thinking only of my needs
and concerns! Help me to reach out to others in their needs.
Keep me from a constant recital of my aches and pains.
And help me rejoice over Your many blessings—and testify to
Your goodness.
Let the morning sun shine in my face and the angels sing
in my soul! In the name of Jesus I ask it.
Amen.

41
18 When You Are Overwhelmed With a
Problem
Lord, I come today praying as You taught us to pray,
Our Father Who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy
name ... Thy will be done in Earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.

Lord, I have a great need. In fact, my need has become so

big it defies solution. It has brought me down to zero.
But in the midst of this problem, I look again to You as
my Source. And I pray that Your will will be done in Earth,
as it is in Heaven... that this day—NOW—I will receive my
daily bread... the solution to this problem.
For I ask it in the great and incomparable name of Your
Son, Jesus of Nazareth—whose I am, and whom I serve.
Amen.

43
19 When You Are Sick
Father, I come in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth—
who shed His blood and died in my behalf—who bore the
stripes on His back that I might be healed. And who rose
from the dead and is alive this moment. Here to give me life
and to give it more abundantly.
Lord, I am sick and I need healing. Your Word says, “I
am the Lord that healeth thee.” This promise causes my
faith to stir within me—it is evidence for my faith. You have
healed others... and this, too, strengthens my faith.
All this transforms my faith from something neutral to a
living force. I ask that Your miracle power will touch my
body. I release my faith now, and I believe and I expect a
miracle!
Amen.

45
20 Taste and See
Heavenly Father, I reach out for more of the fullness of
Your Spirit in my life. I want to feel the Holy Spirit surging
through every molecule of my being. May the very essence of
the Holy Spirit himself be sprinkled over me like a
fragrance.... That I may taste and see that the Lord is good!
May this be the day when You will really pour out Your
Spirit upon me, that I may get in the stream with You and
feel Your flame in my heart. Lord, I want to see You—the
resurrected Christ—walking in my life today.
I open my heart NOW and I invite You, Holy Spirit, to
come upon me for I pray and I believe! Praise God!

47
21 Where a Miracle Begins
Father, in the name of Jesus, whose I am and whom I
serve, I come to You. Lord, I rejoice because at last I’m at the
point where a miracle begins!! I have reached my depth of
giving. This depth is beyond the level of my old thoughts and
practices—of building my life around myself. It goes beyond
me to You... to the point where You are first in my life.
This is a great moment! For now, Jesus, You are at the
helm! You are in control of my life!
By faith, I now receive a new life—a more abundant life!
Through Christ, I believe.
Amen.

49
22 For One Who Is in Pain
My Heavenly Father, I come to You not in my name or my
strength but in the incomparable name of Your Son, Jesus
Christ. And I pray that You will fill this room with Your
healing presence. Touch this one who is suffering much pain.
In this moment—NOW—may he become extremely conscious
of You—Jesus Christ, the Person.
Stretch forth Your healing hand. Take away the torment
of this pain from him. And may he know the joy of rest.
I come to You with faith in my heart for his deliverance—
and I expect a miracle! For I ask it in Jesus’ precious Name.
Amen.

51
23 Messed Up
Lord, I’ve messed up my life.... I don’t even feel worthy to
call Your name. But inwardly... I hear You saying to me:
Because you now know in your heart that you can’t run
your life... and have finally turned it over to Me... I can
change you into a person who can be part of the answer
instead of the problem... I will put you in position to get
your needs met and to help many others.... In this way you
will know real life, for you will have it more abundantly.

I’m listening. Lord, and my answer is: ‘‘Yes, I’ll give my

life to You.” Suddenly the future looks exciting!!
O God, enable me to arise... to be made a whole person
through Your Son, Jesus Christ, to walk in newness of life. I
pray and I believe. And I expect a miracle.
Amen.

53
24 Prayer of Worship
Lord, I thank You for Your majesty, Your greatness, Your
power. Lord, I know that You scooped out the bed for the
oceans... flung the stars from your fingertips... sculptured the
mountains... and hung the earth on nothing.
But that didn’t save me—that didn’t meet my needs! It is
Your shed blood that saves me. It is Your death that frees
me. It is Your breaking asunder the bonds of death... Your
looking over the world and saying to all people, “Because I
live, ye shall live also”—this gives me life eternal.
Blessed be Your Name forever and ever!!
Amen.

55
25 Divine Law of Miraculous Return
Father, I come before You with the open Word of God; I
come with the promises that are in the Bible that You want
to meet my needs.
I remember, Heavenly Father, that I should give You my
best then ask for Your best... the greater the sacrifice, the
greater the blessing.
This divine law of miraculous return tells me that there
can be no shortage for my needs to be met. I know Your
riches are laid end-to-end across Heaven waiting to be given
to me.
I know that just as I give my total self to You, You give
Your total self to me. I thank You, Jesus, for this assurance.
Amen.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by
prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6

57
26 My Lord and Master
0 Lord, I love this privilege of talking to You out of my
deepest self... of experiencing the release that this brings.
Lord Jesus, You are rest for my soul. You are peace for
my inner man. You are bread for my hunger. You are healing
for my whole being. You are the hope of my existence. You
are the solution of my problems. You are the way to every
need ultimately being met. YOU are my Lord and my
Master. You are the beginning and the end of my faith.
Master, I thank You that I am alive, that I have the
privilege of looking life in the face—knowing that You will
give me strength to face each situation victoriously. I praise
You for this.
Amen.

59
27 For a Christ-Centered Home
Father, I thank You for Your healing presence. I thank
You that You are my Source of light, of understanding, of
love. And I pray today that Your love will explode within me
and then within my home. Fill each room with Your presence
and each person with an awareness of You.
Keep me, Lord, from pettiness, from fault-finding and
self-seeking. Help me to be slow in judgment and generous in
forgiveness. Teach me to live without harsh words and
unkind actions.
Help me to remember that You care about even the
smallest things... that when discouragements and problems
come—You are right here beside me. You are my SOURCE
for every need. I pray and I believe in the name of Jesus.
Amen.

61
28 For the Healing of a Parent-Child
Relationship
Lord, I’ve reached an impasse with my child. I don’t know
how to handle the situation. But, Lord, I believe through the
Holy Spirit this situation can be righted, a healing can come
to our relationship, and this problem can be solved.
Now, Lord, by Your Holy Spirit I release this child out of
my hands into Your divine hands, that this loved one will feel
responsibility toward You, to serve You, and to do Your will.
I commit this dear one to You and this entire situation into
Your loving hands.
And I thank You, Jesus, for the peace You are now giving
me in my heart. I thank You for the assurance that comes
from knowing You are in command. I thank You that my
prayer is heard, for I ask it in Your name.
Amen.

63
29 For Absent Loved Ones
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Your only
begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, I feel the vital flow of Your
Spirit now—uplifting and strengthening me. In this moment,
I lift my precious loved ones before You. May this same
resurrection Spirit be upon them just now in their homes ...
on their jobs... wherever they may be.
Bless them. Comfort them. Strengthen them. Heal them.
Give them victory in every situation of life... and a joy that
crowds out the cares of this life. Wrap them up in Your loving
arms. Watch over them. Protect them. Let an angel stand
beside them—an angel invisible to their eyes but strangely
felt by their hearts.
I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, in whose Name there
is no distance in prayer.
Amen.

65
30 A Husband’s Prayer for a Broken
Marriage
Jesus, I recognize that You are here with me NOW in my
time of need. Lord, my need is great for my marriage is on
the rocks. My wife and I have been growing apart for years!
I’ve given myself to business—she to the children. I’m bitter
inside—miserably torn—for there seems to be an immovable
wall between us.
But, today, with Your help, I’m starting where I should
have years ago! Today, I accept You into my life and into my
home. And I pray that You will speak to my wife’s heart so
that when I ask her to pray with me she will respond. God,
we’ve got so far to go... but putting You first takes us a great
big step closer to that goal.
May Your healing power touch our marriage and restore
it for Jesus’ sake.
Amen.

67
31 A Wife’s Prayer for Her Marriage
My Father, I thank You for the power of Your love to
forgive, to restore, to make whole. Dear Lord, let the stream
of Your love and power flow through me, quieting my mind,
freeing my spirit, and healing my body. Immerse me in Your
love and lead me that my marriage may be healed.
For, Lord, my husband and I are on the outs.... It started
as a misunderstanding—and ended in bitterness and angry
words. Lord, I ask Your forgiveness for my wrong attitude.
My selfishness. My lack of understanding. Cleanse me from
all this and fill me again with Your Spirit and Your love.
Give me grace now to admit my wrong and open the door
to restoration between my husband and me. Through Christ,
my Redeemer, in whose Name I pray and I believe.
Amen.

32 “Where Are You, Lord?”
O Savior, I rejoice because I stand before my problems,
not in the wisdom of men but in the supernatural power of
the Holy Spirit.
My problems are real, Lord. They exist. It seems when
one is solved, another presents itself. But I don’t have to
pretend that they don’t exist; I don’t have to withdraw from
life.
When I am hurting, I can look up and say, “Where are
You, Lord?” and hear You replying, “I am here at the point of
your need.”
This is not just positive thinking—this is not mere
humanism or psychology. This is You, Lord, at work in my
life, demonstrating Your power and Your love.
Praise Your name forevermore!
Amen.

71
33 When Facing the Unknown
Wonderful Lord, Your presence and love fill me. In the
secret places of my soul I hear Your voice saying to me, “This
is the way, walk ye in it.” And so, I walk in it.
As I pray, Lord, I wonder about the future—it’s all so
uncertain... and a bit frightening. But my hope is
strengthened by walking and talking with You. I cannot be
afraid for long because my way is made clear by the shining
light of Your presence.
You are by my side; therefore, I am strong. I am full of
faith because You are my Source. You are my Guide. You are
my Way!
Now, Lord, guide me and I will be careful to give You the
praise, for I ask this in the name of Christ, my loving Savior.
Amen.

73
34 When You Are Broken
Lord, You are my Healer. Overshadow my being with
Your presence that I may partake of Your strength.
Lord, I feel like an old piece of furniture... bruised...
scarred and battered by the storms of life... and discarded in
the attic of human need. But I know that You are even here
—and You are the Master Carpenter.
I pray, Lord, that You will smooth over the rough places...
mend the broken parts... and restore me to a new life.
Strengthen me to face my needs... my perplexities... my
problems... with the all-conquering grace and victory of Jesus
Christ, in whose name I pray.
Amen.
And Jesus said... as thou hast believed, so be it
done unto thee.
Matthew 8:13

75
35 To Become Aware of God’s Presence
Father, I am grateful for Jesus.... I am more than
grateful; I am in love with Jesus. He is everything to me. He
is my Life, my Way, my Truth, the Source of my being. And I
pray that I shall be like Him.
Jesus, fill my life today... with Your healing presence...
Your power... and the force of Your Spirit and personality.
Let the artist of eternity paint a picture of You that I may
know You better. May I look upon You! Hear You! Feel You!
Receive You! And encounter YOU in this moment of my
existence.
I earnestly pray and I believe.
Amen.

77
36 Before Reading the Word
Father, I thank You for Your Word that is “quick and
powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword...
even... dividing asunder of soul and spirit” It goes into
the depths of my inner being and enables me to see clearly
and puts my thoughts right.
As I read the Word today, may Your Spirit bring forth
those truths which will stir my heart. Bring me into a living
relationship with You, Blessed Lord.
Through Your Spirit, may the treasures of the Word—old
and new—be brought forth in their clarity... beauty...
preciousness... and power... for the meeting of my needs.
May a powerful new faith come into my heart, that I may
know again that You are alive forevermore! In Christ’s
Name.
Amen.

79
37 To Know God’s Will
I thank You, Father, that You are too wise to make a
mistake, too good to do wrong, and too kind to overlook even
an insignificant person like me.
I come to You in the knowledge that You put me into
Your universe with a plan and a purpose for my life. You care
for me. You plan and prepare for me.
Help me, Lord, to tap these rich spiritual resources that I
may know Your will. Unravel the mystery. Give me the
answer that I need today.
Guide me that I may know how to serve You better... to
invest my life in Your service... and I’ll praise You for it.
Amen.

81
38 When You Are Overcome With Grief
Out of the deep springs of Your Being, let Your Spirit flow
within me, O God. Submerge me in Christ. May the Holy
Spirit so infiltrate my life that I will become extremely
conscious of Jesus Christ.
May I be able to relate myself to You in such a way that
You can bring deliverance to me. Reach down and touch the
heartache in my spirit... free me from the grief that presses
me down into depths of despair. Bring me out of the shadows
and let me feel Your light shining upon me again.
Father, may I feel You at work in my life... in this
moment! In Jesus’ Name I pray.
Amen.

83
39 What I Want to Be
Jesus, I thank You for Calvary. I thank You for this great
salvation.
Lord, it’s great to be a Christian—to know that You are in
my heart. This makes me full of joy, and the running over
comes to me... in my heart... and outwardly, too. I feel You! I
respond to You. You are what I want to be.
I pray that I will come to a full knowledge of the manner
of man that You are, Lord.... That I may truly know You in
Your fullness.
Lest I become proud, Lord, keep clear in my memory...
the days when I couldn’t have cared less about You. Don’t let
me forget that You chose me... You sought me out... Your love
makes me what I am today. This I pray in Your precious
Name.
Amen.

85
40 When You Are Weak
O Lord, I stand before You exposed ... in my errors and
mistakes, my shortcomings and failures. But I rejoice ...
because I also stand in the image of God. And I know You can
transform my life... from what I am to what You are.
When I think of myself, I do so with distaste. But when I
think of You, Christ, I feel love! I feel hope! I feel faith
rising in me! I feel You... now standing here beside me...
closer than the breath of my nostrils.
May Your Name be honored by my life today, I pray.
Amen.

87
41 Stick-To-It-Iveness
O Master, the longing of my heart is to walk with You. To
be made strong through Your Word. To live in a climate of
faith, believing that nothing is too hard for You.
Give me staying power, Lord. Stick-to-it-iveness. Bulldog
tenacity. Help me to stand... uncompromising and faithful to
You... in public as well as in private.
May I be just and honest in all my dealings with my
fellow man. Let me be genuine—not only on the outside but
also on the inside—so the sparkle of Your love can shine
through.
I humbly pray in Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

89
42 In The Face of Great Need
Jesus, Your Word tells me that You think in terms of my
needs being met ... of those things I have been denied being
restored... of torments being relieved. I know You look on my
needs in the most positive way. Your Word says, “God shall
supply....”
So I know that the moment this need faced me, Your
“shall-supply promise” went into effect.
What a difference this makes. For I am expectant! I am
even joyful! For in the midst of need, I am looking around the
corner, seeking a glimpse of the miracle that I know is
coming.
So I do not fear tomorrow nor am I afraid, for my trust is
in You.
Amen.

91
43 When You Are Lonely
I thank You, God, that You do much more than just
welcome me into Your church each Sunday. You care about
everything that interests and concerns me. And You liberate
me from my fears... my anxieties... my loneliness.
I pray You will keep me in the “quiet center” of life. May
Your angels of strength and defense set their tents around
me. May Your everlasting arms support me... and Your Spirit
overshadow me.
Help me to know that I have my own special place of
peace and contentment and happiness within the circle of
Your goodwill.
I believe through Your Son, Jesus of Nazareth, and I
expect a miracle.
Amen.
Consider the lilies how they grow.... If then God so
clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to
morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he
clothe you, O ye of little faith? But rather seek ye the
kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added
unto you.
Luke 12:27, 28 and 31

93
44 For the Alcoholic
Lord, I have come to the end of myself and I turn toward
You. I come just as I am. I know You love me... and You
understand me. You know I am an alcoholic... and why I am
an alcoholic. You know the secret dream that was thwarted—
the problem that I have been running away from.
Lord, I thank You for loving me and for dying for me.
Forgive my sins. Deliver me from the bondage of alcohol.
Take the very longing away. Destroy the appetite and make
me whole. Lord, I give my life to You and I ask You to help
me solve my problems. Help me to realize my dreams. Give
me courage to face life... an inner confidence that comes from
knowing You care!
Beginning this moment, may I walk in the power of God.
Guide me—NOW—and teach me to live for You.
Amen.

95
45 A Need Exists to Be Met
O God, I rejoice because Your Word teaches me that a
need exists to be met. Like a burst of sunshine this truth
overwhelms me!! Needs need not harass me! You are my
Source! The answer to every need!!
Depression slips away! Hopelessness leaves me! I stand
up on the inside! Because I know every need is here to be
met—I know that You will do it!
I thank You for this promise, in the matchless Name of
Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

97
46 For the Lost and Suffering
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, God Incarnate,
God among men, God calling men, I pray for the salvation of
lost souls throughout the world.
I pray for those who have never heard the story of Jesus
Christ—for men and women in every nation of the earth. I
bless these dear hungry people. I send my love toward
them... and my faith to You in their behalf.
Look down with love and mercy on all who are oppressed
with the burden of sin. Let the good news of Your forgiving
love find its way into responsive hearts—today!!
In Christ’s name I believe.
Amen.

99
47 For Renewal in Our Churches
Almighty God, I lift before Your heart of love the
churches across our land ... our leaders, our pastors, our
people. I pray that You will help each one of us to cast aside
our vain philosophies and simply go back to Jesus... that we
put Him at the heart of preaching—not just theology, not just
the ills of society, but Jesus!
Revive each Christian that we may all become more
involved in the deliverance of lost and suffering humanity.
Anoint us afresh. Invigorate our hearts and lives with Your
Spirit, Lord. May we become action-oriented for Your service.
May this moment mark the beginning of a revival that
will sweep across our nation, reconciling men’s hearts to You.
In the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy
Spirit.
Amen.

101
48 A Prayer at Easter
Of all the tombs in the earth, O God, only one is empty—
the tomb of my beloved Savior, Jesus of Nazareth, who is
risen from the dead. Risen... not only from the grave... but in
my heart.
Grant today that I may again feel the Spirit that
quickened the mortal flesh of Jesus Christ more than 1,900
years ago.... May His presence quicken me and give me new
life indeed.
May this Easter season be the dawn of a new experience
for me.
I pray in the Name of my risen Lord.
Amen.

103
49 When a Child Is Taken
Lord, You are my Healer. Overshadow my being with
Your presence that I may partake of Your strength. For,
Lord, my heart is broken. My child is gone and everything
seems empty and unreal. Grief like a heavy rock has
descended upon me and overpowered my spirit.
I am a Christian, Lord, but questions threaten my faith—
I ask myself, “Is God real... does He care... is there really an
eternity?”
Then I remember that You, Lord, faced death... that You
know all about this.... You understand my feelings.... You are
my Answer—You are my Source. I cannot rise above this
grief alone but You can help me. You have promised to
supply all my needs. You are the healer of broken hearts.
You are the author and finisher of my faith.
Lord, I’ve been giving to You—my life, my time, my
talent, my money, my love and compassion—so, Lord, I look
to You for this miracle of healing in my spirit.
Restore joy to my life. Undergird me with the strength of
Your everlasting arms so that I shall go forth, walking upon
the wings of the morning.
Now, Lord, I pray for the mothers and fathers who have
lost children through illness or accidents or through suicide.
Surround these parents with Your love and sustaining grace.
Heal their broken hearts. Help them in the troubled days
ahead to look to You as their Source of strength... to abide in
Your love and grace.
I ask these things in Your Name.
Amen and Amen.

105
50 Before Giving
Jesus, You said, “Give, and it shall be given unto
you....” So I thank You for this opportunity to give. For it is
also an opportunity for me to receive.
Receiving follows giving.... A miracle follows believing....
The harvest follows seed-sowing and soil-tending. A rejected
opportunity to give is a rejected opportunity to receive.
Use my gift now to meet the needs of others... and
multiply it back to meet my needs, I pray. And I believe. And
I expect a miracle!
Amen.

107
51 For Those in the Healing Professions
Father, thank You for medical science—for our
physicians, nurses, and all those in the healing professions.
Many times we take them for granted, but they have
diligently prepared and disciplined themselves for service to
others. Grant them a special portion of Your Spirit for
ministering to the sick and suffering. Give them the word of
wisdom to counsel and comfort, for they come in contact with
humanity in its greatest mental and physical and spiritual
need.
Help medical science find a cure for cancer and other
diseases that seem to defy the concerted efforts of so many
dedicated people. I believe You have given us dominion over
all negative forces, and we claim it, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalm 23:1

109
52 For New Parents
Lord, I pray for these new parents. You have entrusted to
their care one of Your precious little ones. They are now
realizing the awesome responsibility and challenge of
molding another life, but let them also realize the joys and
fulfillment of a job well done. Help them to instill a deep love
and reverence for God and a caring for mankind.
Let there be sufficient love, tempered with judgment.
Give them patience for the trying times in their lives, and the
wisdom necessary for this most important task of preparing
this little one to launch out into the adult world. And then,
Lord, help them to release this child to his own adulthood,
knowing that in a very real sense they have only been
trustees for You.
And now. Lord, bless these parents and this child, in
Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

111
53 Soil-Tending
Lord, I have obeyed You and given. So I am no longer concerned
about my gift. I trust this to You, knowing that it will be multiplied
back to meet my needs.
Now, Lord, I turn my attention to the soil—to my relationship to
You. Help me to cultivate it, and to continually look to You as my
Source... to put You first in everything—every day—and to keep
expecting a miracle.
I ask Your help, in faith in the mighty Name of Jesus.
Amen.

113
54 Thanksgiving for a Miracle Return
Father, I thank You that You are my Source. I rejoice
because I can give as Seed-Faith and I can receive a miracle
return.
Today, Lord, I gave a seed-offering. It wasn’t much—but
it was all I had. It was a struggle but after I gave it I felt a
warm glow all over.... It was pure joy!
And, before I had hardly turned around, I received my
miracle return ... “pressed down... shaken together ...
and running over!!” It was my mite—multiplied many
times.
Now I know what You meant, Lord, when You said, “It is
more blessed to give than to receive.” For it is more
productive to give than to receive.
Thank You, Lord, for making it possible for my needs to
be met.
Amen.

115
55 When You Are Tormented by Guilt
Lord, I thank You that I need not be bound by my
yesterdays. That through Your grace, I can be forgiven. I can
be free. For, Lord, I've made serious mistakes in my life. I've
failed You miserably... and often these sins torment me.
Lord, right now I commit my past into Your hands. I
accept Your forgiveness and I ask You to help me to truly
forgive myself. Free me from guilt-laden yesterdays so that
today I may be free to follow You and to love others.
May I live up to the dreams and highest hopes which You
have put in my heart. Fill my life with the warmth of Your
presence. Give me Your joy that I may live this day with a
spring in my step... with the inward assurance that
something good is going to happen to ME! In Jesus’ Name, I
pray.
Amen.

117
56 For Our Nation
Heavenly Father, I pray for this nation. I pray for all the
people in this land—for those who have deep troubles and
problems.
Help us. Heal our families. Heal our schools. Heal our
churches.
Bless our leaders. Bless our President and our governors.
Bless our ministers. Bless our people in every walk of life ...
the young and the old... the high and the low.
O God, I pray for a spiritual quickening in the conscience
and soul of this nation.... I pray that a great revival may be
given before it is too late. May the name of Christ be lifted up
that men might be truly free. Let spiritual renewal come—I
pray and I believe!
Amen and Amen.

119
57 Replanting
Lord, I’ve been so busy reaping I’ve forgotten to replant...
I’ve been so busy expecting miracles that I have forgotten
that I should sow seed continually.
Forgive me for my busyness. And help me to give and give
and give again until giving becomes my very lifestyle.
I pray and I believe.
Amen.

121
58 When God Seems Far Away
Father, I rejoice in Your greatness, Your unlimited power.
I rejoice because You are my Source and Your greatness
means that all my needs can be met. But, God, sometimes
this greatness seems to separate me from You. Sometimes
You seem so far away... so uninvolved in my problems.
So, today, I pray that You will come to me in a way that is
intimate... and personal. Help me to converse with You...
freely... that I may be enriched by the warmth of Your
presence. Help me to know that in the midst of Your
greatness You have time for the smallness of my need... that
nothing escapes Your love and concern.
I look to You now, for strength and inspiration
throughout this day and for Your guidance through Jesus
Christ of Nazareth.
Amen.

123
59 A Big God
I’m glad You are a big God.... And when You live in my
heart—You make me big ... bigger than all my enemies!
Bigger than all my problems! And stronger than all the
negative forces that attack me.
So now, Lord—in this moment—I look to You, my Source
for every need. And I rest in You because I know You are
already meeting my needs.
In the Name of Jesus, I pray and I expect a miracle.
Amen.

125
60 To Look Away From the Problem
Lord, I’ve been concentrating on my problem. In fact, I’ve
memorized it. Analyzed it. Worked on it. And studied the
minute details.
And I’ve had my mind so much on my problem that I’ve
become a part of it—instead of a part of the answer. So now I
turn from my problem—and look to You, my Source.
I begin now to practice the principles of Seed-Faith.
NOW, I will look to You for my answer. And I expect many
miracles for Jesus’ sake.
Amen.
Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I
will multiply thee.
Hebrews 6:14

127
61 God Is a Good God
Lord, I know You are a good God... You want me to be in
health... and all good gifts come from You! * You are
concerned about me! Therefore, I am able to believe.
When I am weak—and so often I am ... when I am in
jeopardy—this, too, happens to me... when I am ill... I am
within the circle of Your compassion.
You bring only good to me! This promise is mine to claim.
And I thank You for it.
Amen.

* 3 John 2; James 1:17; John 10:10.

129
62 Waiting Won’t Get the Job Done
Father, I thought my Seed-Faith wasn’t working. You see
I waited a long time but nothing happened—and now I know
why. You have already done Your part. You created and set
in motion the principles of Seed-Faith.
And now—every day as I practice these principles I am
discovering for myself that God is Source... God is
Multiplier... God is Miracle Worker! Help me, Lord, to make
this my way of life... to continue to look to God as my
Source... to give as Seed-Faith... and to expect a miracle.
For I ask this in Your precious Name.
Amen.

131
63 To Share Your Healing Love
Father, I come to You that I might be filled with Your
love. I come that I might become a witness, that I might
minister to the needs of others.
Shove me out into the world, Lord. Fill me so full of Your
love that it will overflow to those around me. Help me, Lord,
to share Your healing love with people wherever I find
them... at the point of their need.
Use me, O God, in Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

133
64 For Deliverance
I thank You, Lord, that You are not bound by man’s theories... nor
by nature’s fixed laws—nor by the might and power of life’s hurts and
ills. You are sovereign, and come to my relief according to Your own
law—the law of faith.
It does not matter how I am hurt—by affliction—by physical
danger—by soreness of mind—or by spiritual bonds. Master, You are
my Source! You can deliver me!
So, Lord, I receive Your deliverance—NOW! Quicken me! Let me
experience Your healing power.
I pray and I believe.
Amen and Amen.

135
65 When You Are Frustrated
Heavenly Father, cast out of my heart those faithless fears that rob
me of Your peace.
Your Word says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” So
settle me down, Lord. Bring a quietness in my spirit. Shut out the noise
and confusion, the frustrations, the rat race of this day, until I am at
peace before You... and You can be God to me.
I pray in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

137
66 To Be Made Worthy
How thankful I am, Lord, that You “are the same...
yesterday... and today... and forever.” In this moment,
You are the great I AM! You are light for my darkness.
Strength for my weaknesses. Height for my short stature.
You are everything to me.
But this means nothing, Lord, unless I respond to You. So
I give myself to You—totally, the good and the bad, the
desirable and the undesirable. And I ask You to take me and
make me worthy of Your Name.
I ask Your help, in faith.
Amen.

139
67 When You Are Depressed
Lord, dispel from my mind... all doubt of Your love and
your goodness... all gloom... and depression. Let the inflow of
Your love and power bring strength ... and peace... and joy
without measure.
May I feel You now—this instant—that my spirit will be
uplifted... that I may go forward in the comfort of Your
abiding presence.
I pray in the Name of Christ, my Redeemer.
Amen.

141
68 God Is Our Source
Father, Your Word says “With God all things are
possible” (Mark 10:27). So I’m taking the lid off my faith,
today, God. I’ve been looking to my boss for a raise. I’ve been
praying that through this means my needs would be met. But
now, God, I look to You.
No longer am I limited... by the meager resources of my
boss... and the company... for I look to You and Your
unlimited supply.
I’ve been resentful. I’ve been downhearted. But all that is
gone... and in its place is a quiet peace. For I know You will
make a way. You control the means of supply, both expected
and unexpected.
Lord, I thank You for this assurance.
Amen.

143
69 To Use My Faith
Open my eyes, Lord, so I can see Your great resources.
Help me to know that I am in the midst of plenty—that there
are no shortages with You... that there is only a shortage of
my faith.
Help me to use my faith to set in motion the power that
transforms... nothing into something... and zero into
everything.
Lord, I am humbled at Your great concern for me... and
grateful for this tremendous supply for my needs. But most
of all, for the daily relationship I have with You.
Now be with me and help me to release my faith to You
that needs may be met in my life. I pray and I believe.
Amen.

145
70 For Influence
I thank You, Heavenly Father, for the people You have
placed under my influence. I accept them as my divine
challenge. Alert me to their needs. Let me feel the heartbeat
of humanity that’s without You.
Help me to show kindness through a smile ... a kind word
... a prayer ... or a helping hand. Reach out to someone
through my life today, I pray.
Amen.

147
71 For Your Minister
I pray for my minister today, Lord. Stir his soul. Fill him
with a new fire! And a new zeal, May there be a new vibrancy
in his voice... a new energy in his soul... a new knowledge of
God in his mind. Through his preaching of the Word, may
faith be brought to the surface in the hearts of people.
May he receive... the desires of his heart... the answers to
his prayers... and the anointing that we all want from You.
I pray through Christ, my Redeemer.
Amen.
If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye
shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to
yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall
be impossible unto you.
Matthew 17:20

149
72 When There Is No Way Out
Lord Jesus, a big need is challenging me today. I feel so
small and inadequate—there seems to be no way out. I need
You, Lord, in the NOW of my existence... today... here where
the need is.
I know that everything You do begins with a seed
planted; so, God, I will make my faith an act of my believing.
And I will release it toward You. And I do it joyfully, for I
expect it to be reproduced and multiplied back to meet my
needs... even if it takes a miracle.
Through faith I receive this miracle—NOW—for I ask it
in Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

151
73 When You Have Sinned
Lord, cleanse my thoughts. My words. My deeds. Forgive
me, Lord, for falling short of Your expectations. May the sin
in my life meet its master in You.
Surround me with Your healing presence. And may I
know the sweet abiding peace of Your forgiveness.
Bless me now that I may grow to be a little more like You.
In Your name I pray.
Amen.

153
74 When Another Is Chosen
Master, Your Word says that “all things work together
for good to them that love God...” Lord, in my
disappointment in being passed by for this position, I pray
that You will help me to not allow jealousy, hatred, and
antagonism to enter my heart toward the one chosen for the
job.
Help me, Lord, to look for the seed of equivalent benefit
even in this situation. Take away the restlessness that has
crept into my life... the fight from my spirit.
Now, I pray for my associate that You will strengthen
him. Give him wisdom and the ability he needs to be
successful in this new position.
Grant me, now, a special enduement of Your love and
grace that my actions and attitudes will glorify You.
Amen.

155
75 Pray One for Another
Lord, You said, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and
so fulfill the law of Christ.” You also said, “Pray one for
another, that ye may be healed.” So right now, Lord, I
pray for the needs of my loved ones, my friends, my
neighbors, and those who don’t even know me.
I bring You the needs of my fellow man. You know the
heart that is broken... the mind that is confused... the soul
that is in despair... and the body that is afflicted.
I reach out my heart and touch those in need. NOW I
release my faith... for the healing of angry minds... bitter
spirits... sinful souls... and sick bodies. May all be made
whole. Use me today to bring healing to one of these. And I
will praise You for it.
Amen.

157
76 To Be Filled With God’s Power
Lord, I come to You in my weakness, that I might be
made strong.... I come in humility, that I might be filled with
Your power.... I come in the frailty of flesh, that I might be
robed in Your righteousness.
And I ask that You give me wisdom and understanding
this day... and a compelling love within that shall more than
conquer any situation that arises.
For I ask this in the incomparable Name of Jesus Christ,
the Son of the Living God.
Amen.

77 When You Are Tempted
Father, I come to You in the name of Your dear Son,
Jesus, who has gone before me, who suffered all the
temptations and trials which are common to man, and yet
emerged victoriously.
I know He, who is touched with the feeling of my
infirmities, is near me now. So help me open my heart—to be
truly awakened to Jesus Christ. Help me, Lord, to have that
inner shining—to be flooded with the rapturous sense of
divine approval.
God, I recognize You as the strength of my existence, as
the guide of my life, and the power through which I can
overcome. YOU are my SOURCE so I place my trust in You.
When I am tempted today, I will look to You, my Source. And
I shall overcome! For I ask this in the name of my conquering
Savior.
Amen.

78 For Those Who Have Lost Faith
O God, I come in the name of thy Son, who died in my
place. And it is for His sake that I ask You to bless those who
have lost the joy of their relationship with Jesus. Those who
once knew You but because of problems and troubles have
become indifferent.
I ask that the mountains of doubt... fear... poverty... and
afflictions be removed. Restore faith to the faithless! Implant
belief in the hearts of the honest doubters! So surround them
with Your love that each man, woman, and child will feel, “I
can reach up and put my arms around the Lord.”
Work a miracle in their lives today. And bring deliverance
in the Name of Your Son, Jesus of Nazareth.
Amen.

79 Abundant Life—Here in the Now
Thank You, Lord, for the needs in my life. For it is
through these needs that You have come to me and I have
been able to begin to comprehend You.
At last, You’ve got my attention. Now I know that You are
concerned about me—the person. You have awakened my
interest in abundant life here and in life eternal.
I want this life in You—that heals my body... that brings
forth my talents ... that opens my inner man to giving and
loving... that helps me to overcome my problems and needs.
I pray that my life will bring honor to Your Name.
Amen.

80 When the Doctors Have Given Up
Father, I don’t come in my name or in my strength, I
come in the matchless Name of Jesus of Nazareth. I come to
You, my Source... for I have come to the end of myself... to
the end of man’s ability.
Momentarily, I’m crushed, Lord.... My loved one is ill—
the doctors have helped but only a miracle can raise him
up....
Lord, I’ve given too much seed not to expect a return. For
this is evidence for the releasing of my faith. Just as I have
looked to You for my supply... and given to You as seed... so I
expect a miracle from Your hand. I expect a harvest of
healing.
I will watch for my miracle... for I KNOW it is coming.
For I pray this in the name of my Savior and I believe.
Amen.
Ask, and it shall be given you seek, and ye shall
find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Luke 11:9

81 For the Sale of Property
I’ve had a lot of difficulty with this piece of property. I’ve
been working on selling it day and night. I’ve had conferences
... with bankers ... with city officials. I’ve done everything I
know to do—but I’ve not been successful.
But, God, You are my SOURCE. So, whether or not the
bankers go with me all the way is not too important. You can
touch these bankers—or send someone else along as Your
instrument. I am looking to You.
I have obeyed Your Word and given something as seed-
money. Now! I can expect a miracle... and I will be looking for
it so it will not pass me by. I’m waiting expectantly, Lord. For
I ask this in the Name of the great Miracle Worker, Jesus
Christ of Nazareth.
Amen.

82 When the Stock Market Dips
Lord, the stock market is down—way down. And it is the
repository of my earnings. From the natural standpoint, it is
the source of my future security.
But I am not left to the mercy of the stock market—which
is managed and manipulated by men. The market will
inevitably go up and go down—it will never be completely
stable. Stability can only be found in You.
You control all sources of supply, so I cannot be defeated
or wiped out for long. This surely makes me feel good! This
gives me confidence to go forward in Your Name, for I believe
and I expect a miracle.
Amen.

171
83 When You Feel Like a Nobody
Father, I am thankful that You made everybody to be a
somebody. Everybody is a special person made in Your image
and Christ died for every one of us as an individual... even
me! I am of infinite worth! So much so that Christ died for
me!
God, I’m glad You think I’m somebody. This gives me
confidence and a new courage to face the challenges of today.
I pray and I believe for victory today in Your matchless
Name.
Amen.

173
84 When You Are Hurt
Lord, I’m so filled with self-pity, but I don’t want to be—I
want to be filled with Your love.
Forgive my bitterness and animosity.... Cleanse my heart
from every self-sympathetic idea.... Wipe away my tears.
When I am tempted to think of my own problems, help
me to reach out in loving concern to someone else and share
his burden. May the focus of my life be changed from within
to without—from my problems and needs to others and their
concerns.
Today, I will look for others that need love and I will
begin reaching out to those that are the closest to me—my
loved ones. Help me, Lord, to become a channel for Your
compassion. In Your Name I pray.
Amen.

175
85 For One Who Is Searching
Jesus, somehow I feel in my heart that You are real.
Lord, I have great needs in my life—hang-ups that I can’t
seem to find the answer to. I want to know You as the
answer to those needs.
So I open my life to You and now I will begin to look for
You in my life. As You reveal Yourself to me I will respond to
You.
Jesus, meet my needs today and be a person to me, I
pray.
Amen.

177
86 To Be Made a Whole Person
Heavenly Father, I've been lying down inside. I've had a
bad attitude. I've not been loving people. But, Lord, I want to
arise and walk. I want to be made a whole person. Forgive
me for lying down inside, for blaming others, for my
resentment.
By Your help, I now put You first in my life and I look to
You as my Source.
By faith, I stand up on the inside and release my faith
toward You. And even now, Lord, I feel a force being released
within me that is as real as my hand. A force that is beyond
mere man. This force is Your power, God. This force causes
miracles to happen!
Make me a whole person, Lord, for I pray and I believe, in
Your name.
Amen.

179
87 When You Are Restless
Lord, I have a burning restlessness in my soul. Let this
restlessness become a spur in my soul to seek You... that I
may venture a little further into faith. Alert me to Your
voice... that I might catch Your message.
Give me a hunger for Your Word... help me to really
believe what I read.
Let this quest for faith lead me to do exploits for You,
Lord. I pray and I believe.
Amen.

181
88 “You Are Lord”
Master, I rejoice in the knowledge that there is nothing
too hard for You... there is no part of my life which is beyond
Your love and concern.
For I face all kinds of needs. Food. Clothing. Shelter. A
car. All this takes money. But how glorious it is, Lord, that
You know this. You are Lord—not just of my soul—but of my
entire life! And Your supply includes every possible need.
I thank You for this glorious assurance.
Amen.

183
89 To Be Like Jesus
Jesus of Nazareth, Son of the Living God, whose I am and
whom I serve, put Your hands upon me. Cover me with the
shadow of God. May the Spirit of God so quicken me that I
will be like clay in the potter’s hands.
Bless me more than I have ever been blessed in my life.
Inspire me beyond the power of my imagination, so that I
will truly be Your witness. Use my mind... my spirit... my
body... my entire being! Pour Your Spirit out through me to
each one I meet today. Let me hear Your voice... and do Your
will.
May I be like You, Jesus, and help meet the needs of the
people. For Your sake and for Your glory, I ask it.
Amen.

185
90 When You Feel Alone
I know, Lord, that even though I cannot see You—You see
me—You know the way I take.
How precious it is, Lord, to realize that You are
thinking of me constantly. I can’t even count how
many times a day Your thoughts turn toward me! And
when I awaken in the morning, You are still thinking
of me.
Living Psalms 139

I thank You for the warmth of Your encircling arms of

love about me today ... for the confidence this gives me.
Blessed be Your Name.
Amen.

187
91 To Make Your Faith as Seed
Jesus, You constantly likened faith to a seed being
planted to get a result.... You said, “If ye have faith as a
grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain,
Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove.”
Lord, today, I make my believing Seed-Faith! And, though
it is small, I know it will meet needs and problems that
appear as mountains before me—because Your Word says so!
Help me, Lord, to keep looking to You for my miracle. I
pray and I believe.
Amen.

189
92 When You Start at Zero
I’m starting at zero, Lord, but I have my mind on You—
You are my Source of supply.
And this makes all the difference. For because of this, I
can expect a miracle! Help me to be alert for Your miracle ...
at any time... or place I happen to be.
Grant it, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

191
93 Salvation Plus
I thank You, Lord, that You are my Lord and Savior, that
my sins are forgiven... I have been made a new person.
And I am not only prepared for Heaven but, by applying
Seed-Faith, I know I can trust You to meet all my earthly
needs... today... in the NOW.
And, Lord, I am grateful that You come to me as a
person... at the point of my need... in the form of my need ...
and to meet that need—“according to Your riches.”
I give You thanks for this through Christ, my Redeemer.
Amen.
Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he
said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Acts 20:35

193
94 To Get Right Results
“Whatever you can conceive, and believe, you can
do!” What a glorious thought this is, Lord. As I think on it,
my inner man begins to stir! I stand up on the inside! I am
excited! For You make it possible for me to conceive, to
believe, and to get right results.
Now I know that as I sow Seed-Faith—the harvest is
inevitable!! I know that I will receive my miracle, for I pray
and I believe, in Your Name.
Amen.

195
95 To Be Rescued From the Storm
Heavenly Father, I know that You are alive. I feel Your
presence. I recognize that You are here with me now.
Jesus, stretch out the same hand that You stretched out
to Peter on the water, and catch me up out of the storm—out
of the trouble I am in—that I may glorify Your Name.
I ask it in the Name of Christ. And I believe.
Amen.

197
96 To Serve With Joy
Father, let the Holy Spirit do His mighty work through
me today. Let Your life flow into me like a river flooding its
banks.
O Jesus of Nazareth, let me feel You. Let me grasp You.
Let me know You in Your fullness.
Teach me that my mission field is where I am. That my
witness is not some particular circumstance or some special
place. It is here... where I am today... to the people I meet in
my home... on my job... in the street—wherever they are and
whatever their need.
Lord, may I be where You want me to be. May I do what
You want me to do. May I say what You want me to say. And
may I serve You with joy bubbling up in my soul.
Through Jesus Christ, my Lord, I believe.
Amen.

199
97 For a Right Attitude Toward Money
I thank You, Lord, for the money You have given me, for
it is an instrument to meet needs in my life. Help me to
remember that the love of money is the root of all evil.
Guard my heart against putting too much emphasis on
money... on giving it first place in my life, and putting it
before You.
Help me to keep You FIRST in my life. For Your glory, I
pray and I believe.
Amen.

201
98 So Be It
Jesus, You said, “As thou hast believed, so be it done
unto thee.”
I’ve been believing, but in the wrong way... and all I have
is more doubt. I’ve concentrated on my bills piling up—
failures in business—a dark future.
But now, Lord, faith is replacing my doubt! I see that all
You have is mine!! And when I connect to You—I connect to
the most powerful force in the universe.... Suddenly, the
whole world is different!
Help me, Lord, to keep my faith fixed on You, my all-
sufficient Source, I pray.
Amen.

203
99 Selfishness
Forgive me, Father, for my selfishness ... for not even
being aware of being selfish... for being all wrapped up in my
vocation... my future... my interests.
Destroy this sin within me... and replace it with Your love
and Your concern for others.
Bless me, I pray, that my life may glorify You.
Amen.

205
100 Eternal Optimism
God, You have already given and are waiting for me to
recognize You as my eternal Source. So I joyfully do this.
And in so doing—I place myself in position to receive all
that You have for me.
Suddenly—I am filled with a feeling of eternal optimism.
I know something good is going to happen to me!
For I pray and I believe, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.

207
101 Our Pattern
Jesus, You are so real! You are so contemporary! You are
in the NOW! And all that I face today is no more than You
faced in Your generation. You are my pattern.
Jesus, You took on the establishment and the individual.
You took upon Yourself—my needs—my griefs and sorrows—
my torments and fears. You understand my needs and You
are able to meet these needs.
Lord, help me to follow in Your footsteps—to look to God
as my Source; to give throughout this day of my time, my
love, my money, my very self, and to expect a miracle in the
form of my need. May I experience here—in the NOW of my
existence—Your loving concern for me.
In Your Name, I ask it.
Amen.

209
102 A Prayer at Christmastime
Heavenly Father, may this Christmas be a time of
spiritual contemplation ... a time of rejoicing... and a time of
growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus, I love You. I need You. I know You are the answer
to my every need. Make this a very special day... because of
the nearness of Your presence in my life and in the lives of
my loved ones.
I pray in the matchless Name of the Babe of Bethlehem.
Amen.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of
power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7

211
103 When You Are Distraught
Lord, I thank You that You reach into the NOW of my
existence... that my concerns are Your concerns... that You
really care about ME. And every need I have is included in
Your provision... for You said You would supply “ALL my
needs.” Today, I ask for your peace.... I need to feel Your
presence... to silence my fears ... calm my turmoil... and ease
my tensions.
I ask You to give me tranquillity of spirit so my work can
reflect clearly my faith in You.
May my thinking be clear—my labor productive. May I
work in the strength of One greater than myself.
And I will give You the glory. In Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

213
104 The Joy of the Harvest
Lord, I thank You that when I give I can anticipate a
harvest. For Your Word says, "Surely blessing I will bless
thee, and multiplying, I will multiply thee.”
Lord, I have done my part—I have given—and I have
released my faith to You.
NOW I joyfully expect a miracle harvest, for I pray and I
believe, in the Name of my all-sufficient Savior.
Amen.

215
105 To Be His Hand Extended
Dear God, let the depths of my soul be spiritually
quickened with Your love and power. May my mind, heart,
and hands reach out, under Your guiding influence, to bring
deliverance to those who are in trouble and need.
Lord, help me to remember that the laying on of hands is
the laying on of my heart—the touching of people with my
love and my faith. It is the knowing of individuals in times of
need and difficulty and sorrow. It’s becoming involved with
people and getting my hands dirty.
Again, this day, I give myself to You and I look to You as
my Source. At this very moment, I ask You to fill me with
Your love and compassion. Today! Let me be Your hand
extended! I pray and I believe.
Amen.
