Guard your Devices
If you are working from
home, a cafe or a co-working
space, do not leave your
company-provided device
unattended. Avoid asking
strangers to look after your
devices and documents.
Stay Alert
Be on the lookout for suspicious
activities, requests, emails and
proposals. Be wary of falling for
Ponzi schemes, giveaways and
freebies. When in doubt, call or
email the requester to verify the
information sent to your inbox.

Authentication
If the option to add two-factor
authentication is made available,
please incorporate it into your
personal and company-provided
devices. Two-factor authentication
adds a layer of security  that
discourage hackers from accessing
sensitive and personal information.
Create Strong
Passwords
Be creative with
password creation.
Include a mix of upper
and lowercase letters,
numbers and symbols.
Avoid using your DOB or
personal information in
your passwords.
Stop. Think. Then Click.
Avoid installing & clicking on
unrecognised links. Do not
download unofficial software,
documents or files. If you are
unsure about an email, please run it
by the IT Security team.
Use Corporate VPN
If your work requires that
you have access to a virtual
private network, please
contact Arca Payments’ IT
Security team to discuss the
available options.
Protect Personal
Information
Avoid responding to email or SMS
requests for personal information
and data. If you are asked to share
your password, DOB, BVN or home
address via email, do not respond.
We recommend that you run the
request by your line manager or
Arca Payments’ IT Security team.
