Approval of last month’s minutes

● Motion to approve by Alan Ward. Second by Caitlin Crouch.
● 6 ayes, 0 nays, 1 abstain.

Member Open Session

● Proxy discussion for Cinda regarding early season rowing. Two launches available
and two contracted coaches available for 2011. Any member may hire one of those
two coaches (Josh or Christiana) for early season rowing, and must be in compliance
with Boulder Reservoir safety guidelines and BCR Rules. 2011 Waivers need to be
completed prior to getting on the water. Updated Club rules from August 2010 will be
added to the website and an email detailing rules that apply will be sent to members by
Alan Ward. As equipment manager, Josh will decide when boats are permitted on the
water and that will be communicated to the club at large.

CJC Update

Development (Dave Kelley)

● Event at Restaurant 4580 on Jan. 27th, 6pm- social get together, and prizes for
fundraising campaign.
● Campaign will continue until remaining $5,300 is raised. More prizes than current

 entries. Publicize.

Finance Update (Julie Korak)

● Financials were presented, and BCR netted close to $6,000 from Programs in 2010. Net
proceeds from 2010 will be discussed during 2011 budget process.

Programs Update (Mark Venezia)

● Survey responses trickling in. Dave will compile responses and discuss with Programs
Committee.
● Programs Committee met last Tuesday, January 4th to outline approach for 2011.
Concept to have one long season leading to a sprint regatta, and another long season
leading to one or more head races. Will announce a club meeting to gather input in order
to help finalize 2011 Programs.
● Winter program going well.

Equipment Update (Mark Venezia)

● Used oar purchase of 2 sets of C2 8+’s adjustable handle oars using equipment budget
allocation. Oar blades need to be painted. Need membership volunteer hours to
complete the task. Discussion of potential tracking of volunteer hours.
● Bow loader sold to University of Dayton. Purchasing two used Hudson 4+’s.
● Molly Rouse (2x/-) sold to CJC.
● BBG, sectional 8+, Kashper 2+ (Dilg), and 2-stroke engines for sale.
● Regatta Central Boat Checkout system we will beta-test for them this year.

Marketing Update
● Potential signage for Winter Erg space.

Membership Update (Julie Cunningham)

● Julie C. to solicit membership participation in Committee in addition to standing
members.

Tech/Website Update
● Julie C. to mock up WordPress website and email to Board for pre-approval.
