On the 5th day of the GADTC Games, October 25, 2019 at 10am, the athletes

from the seven blazing institutes assembled themselves at the Sinanduloy Gymnasium
for the awarding ceremony. It was a cold, rainy morning yet heat and pressure had filled
the gymnasium as Alfonsos were extremely excited and eager to find out who among
the seven institutes have garnered so much wins.

The Institute of Senior High School emerged as the overall champion for the
Torch Events and once again, sealed their title as the Best Cheerdancers when they
were proclaimed as the champion for the Cheerdance Competition. On the other hand,
the Institute of Criminal Justice Education, finally reclaimed the championship for the
Pagarbohay Competition, for which in the past two years had become very elusive to
the institute. They also won the Dance Sport Competition and most of the sports events
including basketball, volleyball, softball, table tennis, badminton, athletics and many
more. The overall champion for the GADTC Games 2019 had not yet revealed during
the awarding ceremony to intensify Alfonsos curiosity and to keep them up until the final
minute of the remaining events.

Moreover, in order to develop camaraderie and be acquainted with one another,

the Alfonsos celebrated its much-anticipated and most-awaited acquaintance party at
the Sinanduloy Gymnasium in the afternoon, dressed with their Bohemian Style Outfit.
To keep everyone entertained while waiting for the program to start, the Supreme
Student Council put on a show the entries of the seven vying institutes for the first-ever
Short Film Festival. Once again, the gymnasium was filled with cheers and yells when
the show had started. Not so long after, the program began and was opened with a
doxology. A series of motivational and enlightening messages was then given by the
dynamic dean of IAS, ITE, IBFS, IOM, SHS, CS, and ICJE respectively. As an annual
tradition, the dean’s listers and academic scholarship grantees were also given
recognition during the event for their exemplary academic performance in the previous
semester. The SSC and SBO Officers were also given gift certificates. And finally the
most-awaited part of the program which was the declaration of the GADTC Games
overall champion had come. Everyone was holding their breath when the emcees were
announcing the winners. The Institute of Criminal Justice Education once again bagged
the championship in this year’s GATC Games. It was a moment of ecstatic celebration
among the criminology students and the faculty and staff of the ICJE to have been
declared as the champion.

As a finale, the Alfonsos, after having eaten their dinner, proceeded to the
GADTC ground for the foam party. Everyone was enjoying the night’s disco fever and
were all grooving to the dance floor. The students can’t help it but to commend the
driven and empowered GADTC Faculty, Staff, and the student leaders who worked hard
for the event to make it happen. Indeed, it was a successful week long celebration of
the GADTC Games 2019 to end with a foam party.
