IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
COVID-19 Travel Advisory
In light of the Governor’s decision to quarantine individuals traveling to Connecticut
from an area that constitutes a COVID hotspot, this is to put employees on notice
that the Office of Labor Relations and the Department of Human Resources are
reserving managerial rights to deny such leave to employees who knowingly travel
to such areas following the Governor’s announcement. Consequently, individuals
who are unable to return to work due to quarantine, or because they test positive for
the Coronavirus upon return from a designated COVID hotspot, will not necessarily
be deemed eligible for coverage under EPSLA and further may face disciplinary
action, up to and including termination.
