nable yuan trading for US investors. Last Friday, China green lighted the first
foreign investments in its banking sector in years, as JPMorgan and Morgan Stanl
ey won permits.

Frances Cheung, Offshore Yuan Trading Experts Workshop 2011 instructor, has 10 y
ears experience as an economist and rates strategist, covering Asian economies a
nd markets. She joined Crédit Agricole CIB in April 2010 as Senior Strategist for
Asia ex Japan, with a focus on the rates markets. She is in charge of formulatin
g rates strategies for markets in Asia ex-Japan. She is involved in relationship
s with the bank’s clients, presenting her and the Fixed Income Market Research tea
m’s views on a regular basis. She also markets the bank’s economic and market views
with the media.Frances was working with Standard Chartered Bank previously, cove
ring the rates markets in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and regional economies. P
rior to that, she worked with Primasia (Securities) Asia and the HKSAR governmen
t on economic research for Greater China and North East Asia. She received her M
aster of Philosophy (Economics) and Bachelor of Social Science (Economics) degre
e from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Frances is also a CFA charter holder

Dariusz Kowalczyk, Offshore Yuan Trading Experts Workshop 2011 instructor, has 1
2 years experience in emerging markets fixed income research, trading, and sales
, including 8 years as an economist and strategist. He has been appointed Senior
Economist/Strategist for Asia ex-Japan, Crédit Agricole CIB, in June 2010. He is
in charge of setting up economic scenarios and formulating FX strategies for eme
rging Asia. He is also involved in relationships with the bank’s clients and in ma
rketing the bank’s global economic and market views with the media. Prior to joini
ng Crédit Agricole CIB’s Fixed-Income Markets Research, Dariusz worked as Chief Inve
