Dear Mr. Wright and Mr. Harris:
With regard to the public event, “Evangelicals for Trump” scheduled today August 6,
2020, a determination has been made that this gathering for over fifty (50) persons will
be in violation of the govemor's current directive for public and private gatherings.
Governor Sisolak’s Directive 021, Section 10, (see attached) mandates that "the Nevada
general public shall not gather in groups of more than fifty in any indoor or outdoor area
subject to the limitations of this section, whether publicly owned or privately owned
where the public has access by right or invitation, express or implied, whether by
payment of money or not.”
Your compliance is mandatory. Failure to comply isin violation of NRS 202.450(1), which
states ‘a public nuisance is a crime against the order and economy of the State, in
conjunction with LVMC 6.02.370(A)(3), which states itis unlawful to violate any provision
of State law governing the operation of a business, and LVMC 6.02.330(G), which
states, ‘the premises on which the business is conducted do not satisfy local, State or
Federal law or regulations which pertain to the activity which is actually engaged in,”
which subjects your business to enforcement actions that may include fees, fines, and/or
the provisions of LVMC 6.02.363(A)(2), which states the Director or Metro may issue an
‘emergency order which suspends or conditions a license upon determination that such
order is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety,
morals, good order or general welfare with the City.
Your failure to comply with all State directives and notices issued by the City may result
in civil fines, license suspensions, and/or denial of your pending permanent licenses.
