I. Learning Objectives/ Competencies:


 Learner’s will demonstrates the concept of tempo through movement
 Learner’s respond to varied tempo with movements or dance.

II. Overview of the Module:
The module introduces the elements of Tempo in music
And aims to understand the children the basics through performing,
creating, listening, observing and responding activities.
III. Content/ Topic:
In musical terminology, tempo (Italian for "time"; plural tempos, or tempi
from the Italian plural) is the speed or pace of a given piece. In classical
music, tempo is typically indicated with an instruction at the start of a piece
and is usually measured in beats per minute (or bpm).

Activity #2: Circle all the slow objects blue. Circle of the fast object violet.

Activity #3 Tick the object which are fast and cross the object which are slow.
Application:
Directions: Create a group at least 5 member and play Nanay Tatay with
the right palm facing down and the left palm facing up. Tap each other’s
palm and play slower then go faster. Then eliminate those who are wrong
and continue to play at least 1 will surpass or finish the task.

VI. Summary of the topic:

TEMPO - the speed at which a passage of music is or should be played.


FAST - moving or capable of moving at high speed
SLOW - moving or operating, or designed to do so, only at a low speed; not quick or
fast.
VII. Synthesis:

What do you like to sing or listen? Fast song or slow songs?

VIII. Evaluation
Listen to a song. Color the  green if the song is fast. Color  yellow if the song is
slow.
