Today¶s society is full of new concept and most of them are learned by children by watching television.
So television plays a vital role for the development of the children.

Though there are many good programs in television that teach a lot to the children, but some of the
programs and movies are no value for children. Those programs try to show virtual thing and extensive violence
that can really affect the mind of children. For example, there used to be a program named ³Shaktiman´, a super
hero type serial that was shown in an Indian channel. The serial used to show the different virtual heroism
performed by the super here and those stunts hard really affected the mind of children. They tried some of the
stunts that were shown in the serial and were seriously
injured. So those types of television programs should not be allowed to be telecast.

On the other hand, some of the programs are very useful to broaden the knowledge of the children, like
quiz programs, programs related to the animals, universe and many more. These programs really help the
children to understand and gain better knowledge about the surrounding, our past and future. In the current
world, printed media are not the only source of knowledge for the children, but visual knowledge plays a vital
role to get the better understanding of any process.

In the conclusion, though some of the television programs are no value to the children, but most of the
programs are really useful for the children to grow the intellectuality of them.
