Essay No. 1 (Personal Statement)

I could say remarkable things about me in this essay but I rather chose to be raw. I am a
government scholar when I was in high school, and it somehow helped my parents afford to send
me in a private school. I don’t want to be a burdened to them that is why I really pushed myself
to review for SASE in order to be admitted to MSU-IIT, and that was 4 years ago. Now, I am a
graduating student taking up Bachelor of Arts in English. College exposed me to many things,
whether academically or extra-curricular activities. Including being a representative in a
International Youth Conference held in Cagayan de Oro in 2016, Official Society Volleyball
Player in 2016, Official Society Basketball Player also in 2016, a member of the Working
Committee in a National Conference – Workshop on Language and Literature organized by the
English Department in 2017, AB English Organization Representative (BeCass We Can) in 2018
and a member of the Working Committee in a play mounted by the ABEO Playhouse Production
in 2018. Though I’m not hoping to graduate this June 2019 with flying colors, at least I am very
glad that my college years made me all experience these kinds of activities that really contour my
character and of who I am today. As I embark on my journey in pursuing Law school, I hope that
I can learn more not just academically but also, learn through my colleagues on this journey.

Essay No. 2 (Statement of the Purpose)

Law builds civilization and protects fundamental rights. It is also relevant in many
context such as banking, land and constructions, media and commercial, human rights etc. and
this excites me more. I got my inspiration first from my dad because he is working at the
Regional Trial Court – OCC. Ever since I was a kid; I was exposed to his office since he always
brings me with him. It is not about the salary or power that you can get in the society is the
reason why I wanted to become a lawyer, but it is the solely reason that I can’t stand the fact that
I can see other people suffering because of the things that they didn’t commit. A long time ago
somewhere in my elementary days, at such a pretty young age, I cannot stand the fact that there
are kinds of people that would really want to see you fail. I just don’t want to see my grandma
suffer and still doing nothing. As her granddaughter, it hurts me that I can’t do a thing or two to
defend her, that is why ever since I wanted to be one.

Essay No. 3 (Professional Track)

Honestly, prosecutor acts cool in dramas and of course, in real life. They bring criminal
charges against individuals accused of committing a crime. I also want to be one because
prosecutors often interact with judges and attorneys and often have to negotiate deals. In terms of
contributions to the justice sector is that our justice system impacts everyone’s life. Our system
should ensure that government officials make correct decisions in areas such as housing,
education, health and social care. These decisions often have the greatest impact on the most
vulnerable in our society.
