ynthia Yamasaki is the Outreach and Marketing Specialist for the •VBOC – Lori
SBA Hawaii District office. She has over 3 decades of business
experience, working in a variety of leadership roles in the corporate and

nonprofit sectors. Cynthia has a multi-faceted background as a small (15 minutes)
business owner and served as the director of the Patsy T. Mink Center ────
for Business and Leadership where she established the center and its
small business curriculum. She has held senior management roles in •USDA –
human resources, leadership development, finance, and banking. Cynthia is a well-known
business coach and advocate, roles that have earned numerous accolades and awards in the Shirley
community. Heatherly
ori has more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry (15 minutes)
serving in various capacities including district manager overseeing ────
several branches, a business and consumer banking team, and
operations. She served 6+ years as a Senior Business Advisor with the •Q&A/Closing
Hawaii SBDC and assisted Hawaii businesses in various stages of their (10 minutes)
business life-cycle including start-ups, expansions, exports,
manufacturing, agriculture, selling/buying businesses, and assisting
them with access to capital for their business needs. Besides her
business banking and lending background, she is knowledgeable of the
various SBA financing programs, and is experienced in the financing of commercial PV RSVP
and PPA systems. She holds a BBA from the University of Hawaii- Manoa, a graduate of REQUIRED
the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington (honors thesis),
certified U.S. Export advisor, certified HiSBDC business advisor and active volunteer in

hirley M. U. Heatherly, Business Programs Specialist, has been with 533-3181
the Agency since the late 80’s. She initially started as a District Office
Clerk providing clerical support to the District Director as well as https://forms.
working with the Multi-Family Housing Program. In 1996, she became
a Business Programs Specialist, and works directly with lenders; gle/Y1PNbnY

seeking financial assistance. She provides information and assistance to ensure capital,
technical support, educational opportunities and entrepreneurial skills help rural residents
start and grow businesses or access jobs in agricultural markets and in the bio-based
