dog is not violent

Not long after Bill and Harlene
Newhart’s llama, Emma, was attacked in
the middle of the night, Gary and Denise
Stevenson’s Labrador mix, Rascal, was
quarantined and eventually ordered out
of the City of Willow Park. However,
public police and court records show
that Rascal was never deemed violent.
“(Rascal) wouldn’t even as so much
as growl at anyone,” Denise Stevenson
said.
According to reports, witnesses
told Willow Park police two dogs were
involved in the attack, but those same
documents state, “there are no witnesses
to the actual incident.”
The Stevensons said their back gate
was opened in such away that allowed
Rascal to sneak onto the Newhart prop-
erty and that there had been a stray
black dog roaming the neighborhood.
Nonetheless it was Rascal that Bill
Newhart saw in his pasture after he got
a call that his llama had been attacked.
Denise Stevenson, though, still wants
proof. Even though Rascal was witnessed
by Willow Park Police on the Newhart
property and “appeared to have blood
down the front of his body and from
his mouth,” Denise Stevenson said that
could have come from fighting with the
black dog.
“There was no witness to any of the
attacks, and that was said in the court
room,” Denise Stevenson said.
Also presented to the court were
