Job Purpose

Responsible for providing support in the delivery of marketing campaigns for sheet music. Responsible for
providing support and assistance in relation to ongoing, general marketing activities across a range of
channels. Responsible for ensuring activities and results are communicated to ensure accountability and
continuous improvement.

1. Marketing strategy  Understand the sheet music marketing strategy, wider
divisional marketing strategic context, and overall sheet
music departmental strategy
 Use available analytics and other sources of market
intelligence to inform and measure success of marketing
activity, and constantly strive to improve results in support
of team and tower strategy
2. Market knowledge  Work closely with the sheet music marketing manager, the
Business Development team and the Repertoire
Promotion teams in order to understand global sales
priorities, major campaigns, offers & initiatives
 Demonstrate a strong marketing knowledge of the various
sectors sheet music works within, globally
 Assist with the development of marketing plans which are
designed to support global sales priorities, in order to grow
revenue and retain existing business
3. Global marketing campaigns  Assist and support with the development of seasonal,
quarterly, and ongoing marketing campaigns
 Work with sheet music marketing manager, and colleagues
across the sheet music team, to develop appropriate
messaging, visuals and calls to action for campaigns

 Implement marketing campaigns making use of a wide
range of tactics including digital and social advertising,
email, social media content, and web content
 Assist with the communication and validation of plans with
the Business Development and Repertoire Promotion
teams; communicate results of activities and learning
points in order to demonstrate development
4. Global marketing activities &  Support and assist with some or all of the following:
channels o Global email campaigns
o Creation of content for campaigns including blogs,
videos, infographics, image research, advertising
o @OUPMusic Twitter channel and choral-related
content for the Oxford Choral Facebook channel
o Updating of web pages
5. Wider team and tower  When needed and when capacity allows (in agreement
with your manager), assist other sheet music team
members with the generation of product information
reports
6. Behavioural goals  Act as a collaborative, helpful, inquisitive and proactive
member of the sheet music marketing team
 Share your knowledge, ideas and experience for the good
of the team
 Adhere to Performance and Development frameworks as
laid out by HR
 Uphold the ethical standards and behaviours expected by
the Press through full engagement with, and adherence to,
all OUP’s policies and guidelines; and the timely and
successful completion of OUP’s annual training exercises
