The Magdalo councils are the group that stands firm in changing the government due to fact that it was
discovered by the Spaniards. While the Magdiwang councils are the group that stands firm in not
changing the government despite it was founded by the Spaniards. Resentment broke out between the two
Katipunan Councils in Cavite, the Magdalo and Magdiwang for the lack of respect, territorial power,
jealousy, and of their own ambitions prompting Mariano Alvarez to invite and intercede for Andres
Bonifacio to Cavite. Due to this a convention (Tejeros) was held to resolve the conflict between the two
councils and to determine what form of government to create.

In short, the primary source focuses more on what happened on the Tejeros convention itself. How the
conflict started between Daniel Tirona and Andres Bonifacio and how the assembly ended without
resolving the issue. The secondary source has more detailed descriptions of the events that happened. It

also has a brief historical narration about how the two councils had a misunderstanding with each other
and how it resulted in a Convention .The second account also focuses on the events before, during, after
the Tejeros convention was held. In the primary source, the convention ended without resolving the issues
between the two councils. While secondary source ended when Andres Bonifacio wrote a letter to his
uncle containing the emotions he had during the election and that he was disappointed for he didn’t win
the presidency.
