SLIDE VALVE - Installation and Maintenance
MONTAGE / INSTALLATION
- Avant le montage, contrôler l’alignement des conduites et le parallélisme des brides pour
éviter d’introduire des contraintes néfastes dans le corps de la vanne.
- Le sens préférentiel d’écoulement du fluide est indiqué sur la vanne par une flèche.
- Fixation sur la conduite.
Au niveau des trous taraudés nous préconisons d’effectuer la fixation à l’aide de tiges
filetées et non de vis [risque d’absence de serrage ou d’enfoncement du corps avec
coincement de la pelle si la vis vient en butée au fond du trou taraudé].
- Before fitting, please, check the alignement of
MAUVAIS BON the pipes and the parallelism of the flanges.
That to avoid all contraints on the casing of the
valve.
- On the valve an arrow shows the best discharge
direction of the liquid.
- Clamping on the pipe.
Because of the tapped blind holes it is better to
use threaded rods than screws to avoid all bad
tightening or warping of the casing that could
cause a jamming of the slide (see picture).
ENTRETIEN / MAINTENANCE
- Etanchéité des joints transversaux.
Si à sa mise en service ou à n’importe quel moment de son utilisation la vanne présente un
défaut d’étanchéité vis-à-vis de l’extérieur, on peut y remédier sans la déposer en ajoutant
de la “pâte d’étoupage”. Procéder suivant le croquis.
- Changement des joints (voir notice pièces de rechange) : il n’y a pas de difficulté particulière.
- Sealing of the transverse gaskets.
If during the starting or later during the use of the valve there is a leak through the stuffing
box to outside it is possible to doing up the seal without to dismantle the valve but only with
adding some packing mixture. Follow the directions as mentioned in the picture.
- Change of the gaskets (see spare parts instructions) : there is no particular difficulty.

CONSIGNES GÉNÉRALES / GENERAL ADVICES

- Graisser périodiquement les parties en mouvement
- Faire fonctionner la vanne si possible une fois par mois
- Pour les vannes à commande pneumatique, utiliser de l’air filtré, huilé.
- Periodically lubricate the moving parts
- If it is possible work the valve once a month
- For valves drive by pneumatic jack, please, use a filtered and oiled air
