Film Review #2
For the second film review, I chose the interview with Tara, a Trans Pro-Domme. I was
very fascinated to listen to her perspective and point of view. As a trans woman, she had a
positive experience growing up in the British Punk era, avoiding discrimination and hate from
others. It makes me sad that she is considered “one of the lucky ones”, but I’m glad and proud to
see that she believes that my generation and the next generation are becoming more accepting of
our transgendered neighbors. She was very open and willing to talk about any and all things
kinky and taboo, and I appreciated that from her and honestly I am one of those people who
appreciates that from anybody. Listening to how she conducted her business as a Pro-Domme
actually sort of inspired me, as I have dabbled in amateur online Pro-Domming before two years
ago and have an interest to return to it again. I was also interested in her shop and business
model, as it was an adult store but not a sex shop. I appreciated that she advocated for the
community and provided the audience with resources in meeting people with the same interests.
I find it interesting living in Vegas, as although it can be assumed to be completely sex positive,
