KABA- THE LITTLE ZEBRA

You will need:
- Any cotton yarn you like: Light Gray (main color), off- White, Black.
- Hook: 2,5 mm
- 1 pair of 8mm black safety eyes
- Polyester fiberfill, stitch markers, scissors, tapestry needles.

Abbreviations:
- MR : Magic Ring
- Ch : Chain
- R: Round
- St : Stitch/stitches
- Sc : Single crochet
- Inc: Single crochet increase
- Dec : Single crochet decrease
- Slst: slip stitch.
- x : repeat x time

Note:
- Work in a continuous spiral, without joining round, unless instructed
otherwise in the pattern.
- Use stitch marker or a piece of yarn to make the end or the beginning of
the round. Move marker on each round.
- All stitches are worked into both loops, instructed otherwise in the pattern.
- I have some picture below the written pattern, hope it will help you make
this Zebra.

Insert safety eyes between rounds 20-21 and 11 sts apart.

B. Mane:
Use Black yarn:
Place marker:
- Step 1: In round 4, mark 4sts in the middle
- Step 2 :Do the same until R29
- Step 3: Insert the hook in the stitch at R29, make 1slst. Then, make 1 slst in
the stitch at R28, 1slst into R27… do it until R4
- Step 4: 4 slst in R4, turn back 1slst every rounds from R4 to R29.
- Step 5: Repeat until the last stitch of R29, so it will have 5 lines.
- Step 6: (Ch10, slst in the next stitch), repear until last st.
- Cut yarn and weave in the end.

C. Ears : (make two)
Use Light Gray yarn:

7-8. 15sc (15).
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Fold ears and sew them before sewing to the head.

D.Body:

First leg:
1. MR, 8sc (8)

8-10. 18sc (18). Fasten off, cut yarn. Place marker at 13th st

Second leg:
1-10: work same as first leg but don’t cut the yarn.

Don’t stuff.
Fold 2 pieces as trouser and crochet at same time both sides = 6sc.

Crochet 3 rounds with Light- Gray and 1 round with Black yarn

Assembly:
- Sew the Head on the Body
- Sew the Ears on the Head between R7- R8.
- Embroider the mouth (R25), nose (R22), eyebrown (R17).
- Arms: Poisition the arms on either side of the Body (1 round below the
neck). Sew them in place.
- Tail: Find the poisition at the back of the Body using pin and sew it.
