and Tactical EMS (TEMS) Skills Sustainment Course is a 10 hour skills sustainment course for
Medical Military personnel, EMT-Intermediates, EMT-Paramedics, PA’s, Nurses, NP’s, DO’s and COURSE DATE:
MD’s , First Responders, and Law Enforcement Officers who either operate in or support tactical SATURDAY MARCH 27TH, 2010
operations – civilian or military. The course reinforces the following basic and advanced TCCC/
TEMS skills using Live Human Patient Model (LHPM) simulation: COURSE COST: $250
 Assessment of the patient during the Care Under Fire phase using MARCH:
- Massive hemorrhage, Movement on the objective, and Mental Status; COURSE TIME: 0800-1800
- Airway;
- Respirations; COURSE LOCATION:
- Circulation; Okla. Country Sheriffs Field
- Hypothermia; Training Center
 Airway Management using: 4001 N. Air Depot
- Nasopharyngeal Airway (NPA); - ET Tube; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73141
- King LT-D Airway; - Cricothyroidotomy
- Combitube; - Needle Decompression
• Proper application of US Special Operations Command USSOCOM approved tourniquets
(i.e. C-A-T. SOFFT, etc.);
 Proper application of commercial available Hemostatic Agents (i.e. Celox®-A, Celox®-D,
HemCon®, QuickClot® ACS and Combat Gauze, etc.);
 Proper application and use of emergency trauma dressings (i.e. Israeli trauma bandage,
Oales trauma and blast bandages, etc).

Continuing Education Hours have been applied for through the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for
Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS).
The Course has been approved for upto 10 hourse of CEU’s by the OSDH EMS Division
