Watkins and Mortimore define Pedagogy as "Any

conscious activity by one person designed to

enhance learning in another". (1999, P. 3)

In my opinion, pedagogy is such an art in which

teachers play a paramount role making a great
impact on students. That being said, pedagogy
encompasses knowledge, experiences (teacher and
student), and methods to make from students the
best version.

The teacher is seen as the sole figure and authority of the

classroom.

Behaviourism
It is based on Piaget's theory that states learners come ready to
learn and the teacher must foster learning activities to strengthen
students' knowledge.
Constructivism

Pedagogical Approaches

It was developed by Lev Vygotsky and this approach argues that Social Constructivism
learning is a collaborative process between student and teacher.

It was developed by Paulo Freire and this approach states that Liberationism
the teacher is no longer seen as the main authority, but he's also
responsible for giving the space to students to speak out and
show their learning.
