The differences between the Revised to Original of “Continuing Professional Development Implementing
Rules and Regulations (CPD IRR) are the followings:
Revised Code of “Continuing Professional
Development Implementing Rules and Regulations

*In Revised Code there is no indication that the
policy of State to promote and upgrade the
practice of professions in the country.
*There is no indication That the Professionals shall
complete the required credit units every (3) years
of compliance period.
*According to Section 15.3 Supplementary
Provisions.
CPD Providers with valid accreditation at the time
this resolution takes effect may continue their
public offering of CPD programs and award the
corresponding CPD credit units approved by the
concerned CPD Councils. It is indicated that It shall
only comply with the required number of credit
units as amended pursuant to this Resolution
equivalent to not more than fifteen credit units.
*Section 4. Section 11. Recognition of Credit Units
that All duly validated and recognized CPD credit
units earned by a professional shall, among others,
be accumulated and transferred in accordance
with the pathways and equivalences of the PQF.

the country. Towards this end, the State shall
institute measures that will continuously improve
the competence of the professionals in accordance
with the international standards of practice,
thereby, ensuring their contribution in uplifting the
general welfare, economic growth and
development of the nation.
*According to Section 10.1 Registered and licensed
professionals shall complete the required credit
units every (3) years of compliance period, a copy
of the Matrix of Credit Units Required per
Profession is herein attached as specified in their
Professional Regulatory Law, or as provided by the
PRB and the Commission through a Resolution that
may be issued.
*According to Section 8.2.3 Accreditation and Re –
accreditation of CPD Provider:
CPD Providers with valid Certificate of
Accreditation and accredited prior to the effectivity
of this IRR shall be allowed to continue as CPD
Provider as long as they comply with the
requirements as herein provided. A new
accreditation number shall be issued to them.
