Elle s’appelle Morgiane Eustache et elle pratique le basket depuis trois ans
déjà. Son entraîneur l’a découverte dans la campagne de la commune de Marin à la
Martinique et a pu la convaincre d’adopter ce sport si bien adapté à sa grande taille.
Mais elle a hésité de quitter sa famille et son club à la recherche d’une carrière
professionnelle.

Maman n’aime pas faire des achats, c’est moi qui ai toujours la tâche d’y
aller.
La semaine dernière, j’allais faire des achats pour ma mère quand la petite
Solange, qui était très méchante, voulait partir avec moi. Maman a consenti, et donc
Solange, qui n’a que cinq ans, a insisté que nous prenions le bus car elle n’aime pas
aller à pied. Je lui ai dit que c’était trop cher et que les petits magasins étaient près
de chez nous.

The New Student
Les autres élèves ont tous éclaté de rire en le voyant, mais pas moi. Il y avait
une place libre à côté de moi, je lui ai signalé d’y venir s’asseoir.
Tout de suite, j’ai remarqué à quel point il était maladroit. Quand le maître
lui a demandé de sortir son cahier, j’ai cru qu’il allait renverser le contenu de son
cartable.
Il a commencé à travailler et j’ai été étonné de voir qu’il était très intelligent.
Il a fini toutes ses multiplications bien avant moi et il avait tout juste.
Tout de suite, j’ai décidé qu’il allait être mon ami pour me donner un coup
de main.
