Environment Initiatives at Lavasa


• Environment initiatives have been carried out in the region for conservation,
restoration and enhancement of the environment and ecology of the region
- Watershed Management: over 200 acres
- Mass Plantation: over 6 lakh indigenous plants
- Mass seeding using local seeds : over 500 acres including hydroseeding
- Plantation of local shrubs and stumps: over 6 lakh
- Mass fertigation: over 40 metric tons to enhance soil quality
- Soil Bioengineering : slope protection measures using eco-friendly material such as coir,
soil and bamboo to create living slopes
- Mass plantation effort certified under organic practices
- Regular monitoring of environment parameters over and above the statutory stipulations
