Professional Experience
1987 present Oldcastle APG Wyomissing, PA
With over 206 operating locations and 7000+ employees, Oldcastle Architectural
operates across 38 states and 2 Canadian provinces and is the leading North
American manufacturer of concrete masonry, lawn, garden and paving products.
2001 - present Senior IT Analyst / Programmer
Currently Responsible for working with the Lawson BPW ETL tool to design, develop,
maintain and troubleshoot our ETL's (SSIS) and data in our Data Warehouse.
Develop, maintain and process OLAP cubes, working with SQL Server 2008 and SQL
Server Analysis Services.
Working directly with end users and traveling to remote sites as necessary.
Assist in training end users to utilize the OLAP cubes.
Beta testing with Lawson on a module that will create dashboards over the OLAP
cubes.
2007 2010 Member of the conversion team working both independently and in teams.
Converted 70 companies from Axapta (Now called Dynamics AX) ERP system to Lawson M3
ERP system. Successfully migrated data ensuring data quality and validation, data
scrubbing, reporting and loading for customers, vendors, open accounts receivables
and payables, and pricing agreements, using the Microsoft SQL 2008 technologies,
Stored Procedures, query tools, Access Database, Lawson Web Services, IBM Client
Access, and Lawson API tools along with creating custom code developed in Axapta to
successfully accomplish each unique conversion.
Working closely with the business users collecting their specific requirements.
2001 2008 Implemented and modified the Axapta (Now called Dynamics AX) ERP system.
1987 2001 Manager of Development and Design (for Glen-Gery Corporation that was
acquired by Oldcastle APG)
Programmer responsible for operating, programming, testing and end user training on
an IBM System 38.
Developed a Credit Statement System, Unit title tracking system for their trucks,
and a Truck Rental Agreement system which saved 1000's of man hours and eliminated
the need to hire more staff at the rental counters across the country.
Created and distributed AR and Credit department reports.
