Up until now I had my Godot working with Visual Studio Code but
in the new Alpha 5 I read it is needed Nuget and MSbuild for the
Mono version, that for my understanding is only available trough
Visual Studio.

So my question is if Visual Studio is now a requirement for the


mono version, and how do I run Godot mono on Ubuntu?

Tested it on Debian and works �ne. Installed packages for MSbuild


is mono-xbuild (version 4.6.2.7).

Curiously I have no packages regarding NuGet installed but it


seems to work generally. As far as I understand, NuGet is a package
manager and maybe Godot will throw an error, if I try to create
some executables (just guessing).
But there are packages for NuGet on Debian (and therefore as well
on Ubuntu): Executable == nuget and the library == libnuget-core-
cil.

Tank you for testing, I'm now more concerned about Windows tho,
since it seems it is a requirement Visual Studio 2017

/downloads/) (click on the "Tools for Visual Studio 2017"
accordion). These do not include the Visual Studio IDE, making the
installation smaller.
