Bharathidasan University was established in February 1982, and

Distance Education was extended to cover all over India and Abroad.
The Centre for Distance Education offers the semester programmes
which are on par with regular programme offered through affiliated
colleges of Bharathidasan University. The syllabi, mode of
examination, valuation and publication of results are on par with the
regular programmes. This is the unique feature of our programmes
in the CDE. The Centre for Distance Education of Bharathidasan
