1 Obtaining the WDT and Applying for a License

Step Scan the QR code .
When the first time you start WDT after installed, display welcome page. Left sliding interface, and click to login WDT.
Open the WDT, click Scan to scan your exclusive QR code. Then, click Add Project. Fill in the blank with Register Name, Company Name and Phone Number, then
click Send.

3 Preparation
3. Device Connection
Step 1 Verify that the AP works in AP mode.

Step 2 Connect the AP to the commissioning port of the main control board using a network cable.(GMPT/WMPT/LMPT and UMPT)

Step 3 Power on the AP.

Turn on the switch. Turn off the power after deployment and detection.

Here is show you how to get the site script and software through WDT.

4. Site Preparation_Naming Rule

When Huawei wireless engineer create sites in WDTRP system, add _3G or _4G or _3G4G in the back
of site name to differentiate 3G only/4G only/3G4G Co-MPT site, to make it easier for subcontractors to
understand and choose correct site in WDT tool to download script.

- 3A16X118_3G （3A16X118 is site ID，_3G means it is 3G only site, need to make commissioning and
test for 3G only）
- MBTS_A16X118_3G4G （MBTS_A16X118 is site ID，_3G4G means it is 3G4G Co-MPT site, need to
make commissioning for 3G4G in one time, and test for both 3G and 4G）

4 Deployment : Log in BTS

Enter in site navigation page, click Login , then, choose AP. WDT will automatically log in the base station.
After successful login base station, display BTS name, BTS version, Main Control Board, Standard.
Several terminals connected to base station, may result in operation failed. Please keep only one terminal connect
to base station. One key to deploy

4 Deployment : Log in BTS

For Login :

• If the main control board UMPT/WMPT is newly delivered and the software version is
V200R015C00 or a later version, use the default local maintenance IP address:

192.168.0.49

• If the main control board UMPT/WMPT is legacy delivered and the software version is old than
V200R015C00 version, use the default local maintenance IP address:

4 Deployment : Downloading Software One-click deployment Visible progress and status

2. Software, Scripts, and License Downloading

Procedure:
Step 1 After logging in to the base station and click Deployment.
Step 2 Click Start Download to enter the delivering process
Step 4 After BTS restarted, click to re-login the BTS and enter in deployment interface. Check whether the version number is updated.

5 Regular Detection
1. Primary Device Check–Board, RRU, Optical Power, Cell, GPS, Clock
Step 1 After logging in to the base station, click Primary Device Check. The following figure takes a macro base station as an example.
Step 2 Enable the WDT to automatically deliver MML query results and view the results by switching the tab page.
The GTMU does not support the detection of Primary Device Check.
Better understand all parts where a
problem occurs most easily.

2. Trans-link Establish Process Detection (IP Scenario)
Procedure:
Step 1 After logging in to the base station, click Trans-link establish..
Step 2 The expert system automatically determines and checks detection items one by one.
Step 3 Check whether any indicator is in red. If it is, an exception occurs. Click the indicator to view details and locate the problem.

5 Regular Detection Automatic test verification

No rework guarantee during the antenna construction
3. Antenna Check
Procedure:
Step 1 After logging in to the base station, click Antenna check.
Step 2 First enter in VSWR page, you can manually edit VSWR THD and filter CN/SRN/SN.
Step 3 Click VSWR Multi-Freq Check. Set the VSWR threshold to the default value and click Redetect to start detection.
Step 4Click Cross Feeder to execute detection and view whether exist cross feeder.

5 Regular Detection
4. Alarm Query
Procedure:
Step 1 After logging in to the base station, click Alarm.
Ensure that no engineering alarms exist before you leave
Step 2 Query BTS alarm information. sites to avoid possible future rework.
Step 3 View the troubleshooting suggestion. GSM and Pico base stations do not support troubleshooting.
This function can replace the external alarm detection board.

Step 1 Click Alarm. Step 2 Display query result. Step 3 Filter alarm information. Step 4 Click Troubleshooting button.

1. Antenna Detection - RET Tilt Query
Procedure:
Step 1 Log in to the base station and click RET Tilt Query.
Step 2 Display each preset RET tilt and device name. The unit is 0.1 degrees.
The current interface supports to requery.

Procedure:
Step 1 Download Service Verification Scr of related site from Online files.
Step 2 Click Call Test than Normal Srv Test.
Step 3 Select the service you want to test (2G, 3G or 4G cells) .

3. Transmission Detection – Ping & Tracert

Procedure:
Step 1 After logging in to the base station, click Ping & Tracert. The WDT automatically obtains related parameters.
Step 2 Click Advanced Setting, you can manually set the size of the ping packet and click Ping to display the ping packet process.
Step 3 If the ping test fails, use the TRACERT command to trace faults.

4. Others - Environment Alarm
Procedure: Visual and automatic indicator lighting
Step 1 Log in to the base station and click Environment Alarm. replaces manual selection.
Step 2 Parse the configured alarm list, and display the alarm ID, description, severity, and status to users.
Step 3 Manually trigger an environmental alarm and click Query.
Step 4 Restore the environment and query the alarm again.

10 Common: Data Cleanup

Procedure:
Step 1 Enter in WDT setting page, and click Common->Data cleanup.
Step 2 WDT shows the file size which can be cleaned up.
Step 3 Click Site Data can edit the site list. Click Software can edit the software list.
Step 4 Click Cleanup will delete those selected site folders and BTS software package.
