ADVERTISEMENT FOR ADMISSION INTO CERTIFICATES, DIPLOMA AND DEGREE
PROGRAMMES FOR THE 2010 ACADEMIC SESSION
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

(a) FACULTY OF LAW

Diploma in Law (2 Semesters)
Candidates must possess four (4) O’ Level credit passes in WASC/SSCE/NECO O’ Level including
English Language and English Literature

(b) SCHOOL OF TRANSPORT

(I) International Certificate in Logistics & Transport (2 Semesters)
Admission is open to persons holding the following qualifications:
(i) SSCE/GCE/NECO with at least 4 credits including English Language and
Mathematics;
(ii) National Diploma/NCE/ICAN foundation ATS/GRD II
(iii)Advanced level passes in at least two (2) subjects.
(iv) Mature Candidates, not below 35 years with not more than one deficiency from (ii) above
may be considered for admission into the programme.
DURATION: 2 Semesters [1 academic session]
(II) International Diploma in Logistics & Transport (4 Semesters)
Admissions requirements for Diploma in Logistics & Transport
Admission is open to persons holding the following qualifications:
(i) SSCE/GCE/NECO with at least 4 credits including English Language and Mathematics;
(ii) International Certificate in Logistics & Transport
(iii)Other professional Certificate in any Transport related field.
(iv) A first degree in Transport related courses.
DURATION: 4 Semesters [2 academic sessions]

Four Year Degree Programmes
— Christian Religious Studies
(i)Two ‘A’ Level passes/NCE Merit passes in CRS and any other arts subjects
(ii) LASU accepts 5 ‘O’ level SSCE/GCE/NECO credit pass in English Language plus LASU
Foundations programme results not less than Merit Level
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, CRS and three other
subjects at not more than two sittings.
Four Year Degree Programmes
— English
(i)Two ‘A’ Level passes in relevant teaching subject including Literature in English
(ii)NCE Credit or Merit passes in in English and other arts subject
(ii) LASU accepts 5 ‘O’ level SSCE/GCE/NECO credit pass in English Language plus LASU
Foundations programme results not less than Merit Level
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language and Literature in English
plus three other subjects at not more than two sittings.
Four Year Degree Programmes
— French
(i)Two ‘A’ Level passes/NCE Merit passes in French and one other arts subject

Four Year Degree Programmes
— Yoruba
(i)Two ‘A’ Level passes in Yoruba and any of Literature in English, English Language, CRS, Igbo,
French, Arabic, Geography and History/Government.
(ii) LASU accepts 5 ‘O’ level SSCE/GCE/NECO credit pass in English Language plus LASU
Foundations programme results not less than Merit Level
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include Yoruba and English Language plus three
other subjects at not more than two sittings
Four Year Degree Programmes
— History
(i)Two ‘A’ Level passes /NCE merit passes in History/Government and one other relevant arts subject.
(ii) LASU accepts 5 ‘O’ level SSCE/GCE/NECO credit pass in English Language and
Government/History as compulsory plus LASU Foundations programme results not less than Merit
Level
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include History/Government, English Language
and other three relevant arts subjects at not more than two sittings
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Social Studies
(i)Two ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects chosen from Government, History, Economics, Geography,
CRK/IRK
(ii)NCE merit pass in Social Studies or any two of History, Government, Geography, Political Science
and CRK/IRK.
(ii) LASU accepts 5 ‘O’ level SSCE/GCE/NECO credit pass in English Language, Mathematics and
three other arts or Social Science subjects plus LASU Foundations programme results not less than
Merit Level

5 O’ Level credits passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language and Mathematics and
other three relevant subjects at not more than two sittings
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Mathematics
(i)Two ‘A’ Level/NCE merit passes in Mathematics and one of the Biology, Physics, Chemistry,
Geography and Economics.
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language and Mathematics plus
three of Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Physics and Economics at not more than two sittings
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Physics
(i)Two ‘A’ Level passes in Physics and Mathematics. NCE with Credit/Merit passes in relevant
subjects.
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Physics and
Mathematics plus two other subjects at not more than two sittings
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Biology
(i) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology and one other science subject/NCE with Credit/Merit passes in relevant
subjects.
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Biology, Chemistry,
Mathematics and one other subject at not more than two sittings
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Chemistry
(i) Two ‘A’ Level credit passes/NCE Merit passes including Chemistry and one other science subject.
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Biology, Chemistry,
Mathematics and one other subject at not more than two sittings
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Health Education
(i) LASU Diploma (lower credi/merit in Physical Education, Health Education, Social Work, Health
Administration, plus five ‘O’ level credits/TC II merit passes in five subjects including English
Language and Biology/Health Science)
(ii)NCE passes at Merit level in Biology, Physical Education, Health Education, Integrated Science
plus five ‘O’ level credits/TC II merit passes in five subject including English Language and
Biology/Health Science
(iii) Registered Nurse Certificate plus five ‘O’ level credit/TC II merit passes in five subjects including
English Language and Biology/Health Science
(iv) LASU Foundation Certificate.
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language and Biology/Health Science at
not more than two sittings or TC II Merit passes in five subjects including English Language and
Biology/Health Science.
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Physical and Health Education
(i) Two ‘A’ Level passes in any of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
(ii)NCE passes at Merit level in Physical Education and Credit in TC II Arithmetic process or
Mathematics
(iii) LASU Diploma in Physical and Health Education with minimum of Lower Credit/Merit.
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Biology or its equivalent at not
more than two sittings or TC II Merit passes.
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Guidance and Counseling
(i)5 O’ Level credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Mathematics and other three
related subjects at not more than two sittings plus
(ii)NCE credit pass at Merit level in Guidance and Counseling or related discipline from recognized
institution by LASU
Five Year Programme
(i)5 O’ Level credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Mathematics and other three
related subjects at not more than two sittings
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Accounting
(i) Two ‘A’ Level/NCE Merit from Social or Management Science subject in addition with five credit
passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Mathematics and any one of Business
Studies, Commerce, Book-Keeping/Principle of Account and Economics.
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Mathematics and any one of
Business Studies, Commerce, Book-Keeping/Principle of Account and Economics at not more than
two sittings.
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Economics __ Geography — Political Science
(i) Two ‘A’ Level passes to include candidate’s teaching subject
(ii) NCE Merit passes in at least two subjects including the candidate’s teaching subject.
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Mathematics and any other
three subjects including candidate’s teaching subject at not more than two sittings.
Four Year Degree Programmes
— Business Administration (Business Studies)
(i) Two ‘A’ Level passes/NCE Merit passes from Social or Management Science subject.
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Mathematics and any one of Business
Studies, Commerce, Book-Keeping/Principles of Account and Economics at not more than two sittings.
Four Year Degree Programmes
__ Educational Management
(i) Two ‘A’ Level passes/NCE Merit passes to include the candidate’s teaching subject. The teaching
subjects shall be the following: Economics, Geography, Political Science(Government), Business
Administration(Business Studies)and Accounting.
Five Year Programme
5 O’ Level credits in SSCE/NECO/GCE to include English Language, Mathematics and any
one of Business Studies, Commerce, Book-Keeping/Principles of Account and Economics at
not more than two sittings.
