Instruction: Examine the following 5 problem statements. Are they researchable problems
as stated? Why or why not? If a problem statement is not researchable, modify it in such a
way that the problem could be studied scientifically.

1. What are the factors affecting the attrition rate of the nursing student?
 Problem statements:
• Lack of completely authorize nursing instruction program, low staff consistency
standard, helpless workplace and negative view of the nursing calling.
• Low staff consistency standard.
• Poor workplace
• Negative impression of the nursing profession

 Are they researchable problems as stated? Why or why not?


Yes, It is researchable on the grounds that it is a typical issue with respect to the
steady loss pace of nursing program particularly here in the Philippines since some
administration bureau individuals don't uphold nursing programs or has a negative
remark about medical attendants and even the nursing program that is the reason the
whittling down pace of the nursing understudy is diminishing.

2. What is the relation between the atmospheric humidity and heart rate in human?
 Are they researchable problems as stated? Why or why not?
The statement isn't researchable yet as what the journal that I have perused there is no
connection between atmospheric humidity and heart rate in human. However,
atmospheric or relative humidity can cause health problems up to an individual due to
the environmental change it might cause hypertension, heat stroke and even
parchedness.

3. Should nurses be responsible for inserting nasogastric tubes?


 Problem statements:
• nurses didn't have adequate standard information about principles of
medication organization through enteral feeding tubes.
• errors incorporate the granulating of dosage forms that ought not be
squashed.
 Are they researchable problems as stated? Why or why not?
 The statement is researchable; however, nurses are not permitted to embed a
nasogastric tube yet they can take care of a patient utilizing the nasogastric tube if
the patient has gone through medical procedure or has an issue in swallowing.

4. How effective are walk-in clinics?


 Problem statements:
 Limited conditions dealt with.
 Lack of long-haul relationship
 Lack of clinical equipment’s
 Lack of space for the patients

 Are they researchable problems as stated? Why or why not?


 Yes, the statement is researchable since not all walk-in clinics are functional for a
patient in light of the fact that there are facilities that has small capacity and they
acknowledge restricted patients as a result of less space and less equipment and
employees.
