A discovery starts as a spark of imagination that feeds on creativity, rational thinking


and perseverance to become an instrument of change. From time immemorial, great
minds have pondered on the never-ending mysteries of the universe and have
attempted to understand the myriad ways in which it works. “Papyrus” is for all
ignited minds who believe in the use of their intellectual proficiency as ammunition
for contribution in the development of technological research of their field. If one
amalgamates harnesses and unleashes the massive ravaging power of thinking
units residing in the billions of heads, one can transform the world…So storm your
brains and bring out the hidden innovation in you.

Topics For Papyrus :-


For Paper Presentation, the topic of the paper should be based on emerging /
advance technology and recent developments in the respective branch of
Engineering.

• Computer and science engineering.


• Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Metallurgy and Mining Engineering
• Biotechnology
• Chemical and Plastic Engineering.

Please note , only the paper of original thinking will be entertained.


Rules and Regulations :-
Team formation

• Papyrus is open to all students of engineering, science and pharmacy


branches.
• Team can have maximum of 3 members.
• No student can be part of more than one team.
• It is not necessary that the students forming a team should be from the same
college.
• There is no restriction on the numbers of team from the same college.

The event would be conducted in two phases

PHASE I

Submission of abstract and full paper.


Any one of the above mentioned themes/tracks can be used.
The paper should either in form of Word Document or PDF, less than 6,000 words,
Times New Roman, 12 font size, with default spacing.
The full paper (including abstract of 500 words) should reach us by 12th March
to ........................with subject of mail as ‘Papyrus’.

Based on the papers’ evaluation, best 10 papers in each track would be selected for
PHASE II.

• Picture clippings and graphs may be used.


• The teams will get 8 minutes to present their paper. It will be followed by a
question and answer session of 2 minutes.
• The participants will have to present their paper in Microsoft PowerPoint
compulsory.
• We will provide computer, LCD, OHP, Mike and other requisites for
presentation.
• Violation of any rule can result in rejection.
• The organizers reserve the right to change/update the rules of the contest at
any point of time and will do their best to inform the participants of the same.
However, it is ultimately the responsibility of the teams to keep themselves
updated.
