c

14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall
into a pit."

39 He also told them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not
both fall into a pit?

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

c

3 So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they
do, for they do not practice what they preach.

12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example
for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show
integrity, seriousness

8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose
you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

10 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may
please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of
God,

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by
deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have
sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.

10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him
as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God,
the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

11 The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not
like other men-- robbers, evildoers, adulterers-- or even like this tax collector.

3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more
highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance
with the measure of faith God has given you.

17 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put
obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away
from them.

9 I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will have nothing to
do with us.

10 So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, gossiping maliciously about

us. Not satisfied with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers. He also stops those who
want to do so and puts them out of the church.
'

10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a
yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear?

1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the
way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.

1 Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know
that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

c

42 "And if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would
be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around his neck.
