U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents*, and applicants who have been granted refugee or asylee status* are eligible to apply for financial assistance, and
should follow the instructions listed below.
International students must apply for aid by submitting the International Financial Aid Application (found on the Cornell Financial Aid website).
When you apply for aid, be sure to fully adhere to the financial aid application deadlines.
* If you are applying for aid as a U.S. permanent resident, or have been granted refugee or asylee status: Submit a black and white copy of both sides of
your Alien Registration Receipt Card (form I-551) or a copy of your passport or departure record (I-94) with appropriate endorsements to verify your
status. To be considered for aid, you must be able to document your permanent resident status by November 1 for spring transfers and by July 1
