This is my three months prior written notice, according to the provisions of my contract, to the President of the Foreign
Press Foundation for the termination of the contract the board of the Foreign Press Foundation signed with me in
September 2019 as a contractor having as my primary goal to lead the FPF to a success fundraising strategy as I did by
raising for the Foreign Press Scholarship Awards approximately $260.000. Recently, Johnson and Johnson which I
brought in as a donor provided the Foundation with $25.000 with the provision that in 2019 J&J will see some substanial
activity from the Foundation and the Association towards the supporting of the Foreign Press in the United States.

Given Nancy Kamel’s resignation and of other four board members last November which were accompanied with
arguments of non transparent financial management and governance policy after such a huge amount of money that was
raised and donated to the Foundation,

given that currently there is not a full board of the Foundation anymore to fully secure transparency and wisely
management of the funds that I raised for the Foundation putting my personal credibility to all these corporations who
donated their money to the Foundation,

given that I consider the situation based on my rules of morality and ethics as a situation that does not meet the
requirements and provisions of how a non profit organization has to be operating

given that this situation is completely not in compliance with what the provisions of constitution of the Association to be
served on the board only by active journalists without even the Treasurer being a journalist or a member of the
Association,

given that until today there haven’t been clear guidelines of approving expenses policy and no legitimate structure to
guarantee that the money I raised for the Foundation as a contractor will be well managed

Given all these above circumstances, I am obliged to submit this three months prior written notice, which is required from
the contract before the complete termination of the contract, that my work as a contractor for the Foundation is terminated
with effective date 04.25.0219. Unfortunately I am obliged to do that at least until I see that there is a legit board of
journalists after elections committed to impose constitutional rules of transparency and accountability in managing the
funds that I raised over 2018 as a contractor for the Foundation.
