II.
Emprendeurismo Juvenil y Micro Finanzas fue una experiencia increíble para mí;

Marvin Amador, Joven Emprendedor

II. MESSAGE FROM YOUTH ENTREPRENEUR

The trip to Honduras to attend the Central American Youth Entrepreneurship and Microfinance Forum was an incredible experience
for me; I had never left Nicaragua before the conference.

I must admit that I never imagined having this opportunity in my life. I was so happy to see the strong potential that we have as youth,
as well as the power to make our dreams come true. A lot of the time poverty radiates in our minds and as long as we don’t think
positively about our lives, we will never get away from mediocrity.

Sincerely, my best wishes to everyone who reads this message,

Marvin Amador,Youth Entrepreneur

Through this panel a dialogue between the audience and panelists

was made possible to discuss the development of policies which
help and promote youth entreprenuership. The speakers shared
their experiences from each of their countries and ended with the
conclusion that actions that lead to: improving the entrepreneurs
environment, business start-ups, human talent formation,
innovation, quality development and easing access to specialized
technical assistance, commercial and financial support were
necessary to support this youth sector in need of a friendly hand
who believes in them.

• A total of 14 businesses (7 in Nicaragua and 7 in Honduras)
led by young entrepreneurs were identified, specifically from
the rural and urban areas working in service areas such as:
commerce, transportation, technology, tourism,
environment and production.
• Each selected business participated with an exhibition stand
that was provided by the Katalysis Network, as the Forum
organizer.
• Each Young Entrepreneur made a presentation on a subject
that was previously assigned, as well as a profile of their
business.
• After each presentation, a period for questions and answers
was allowed, monitored by an assigned leader.
• A space was provided to share experiences and lessons-
learned during the mini-fair.

The speaker commented that the challenges should be approached

on an all-inclusive focus to seek sustainable development
(economic prosperity, social equality and environmental quality).
Programs that are created should not be isolated, instead they
should be complemented and reinforced through alliances. These
programs should be self-financing, insuring continuity.
