Academic Calendar 2020-21

Calendars are subject to change. Dates and events are added or changed as information becomes
available.

August 2020
August 26: Fall 2020 tuition and fees are due.

September 2020
September 2: Fall classes begin.
September 7: Labor Day recess. University is closed.
September 9: Last day to drop/add classes.
September 11: Begin recording withdrawals with a final grade of “W” on the transcript.
September 14: Last day to receive a 90% refund for a complete withdrawal.

October 2020
October 12: Spring 2021 course offerings are made available at 8 a.m. to view online using GoWMU and
Course Lookup.
October 19: Midterm grades due.
October 26: Spring 2021 registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

November 2020
November 2: Last day to withdraw from fall classes.
November 20: ​In-person instruction for most classes ends (the last weeks of classes and exams will be
conducted remotely).
November 23 – 27: Thanksgiving break.

December 2020
December 14 – 17: Final exams. All exams take place Monday through Thursday.
December 19: Semester ends
December 22: Fall final grades are due.

January 2021
January 4: Spring 2021 tuition and fees are due.
January 11: Spring classes begin at 8 a.m.
January 15: Last day to drop/add classes.
January 18: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day recess, convocation and activities. University is closed.
January 20: Begin recording withdrawals with a final grade of “W” on the transcript.
January 21: Last day to receive a 90% refund for a complete withdrawal.
SUM I and II 2021 course offerings are made available at 8 a.m. to view online using GoWMU and
Course Lookup.

February 2021
SUM I and II 2021 registration opens at 7:30 a.m.

March 2021
March 5: Spirit Day (no classes). University is open during normal business hours.
March 8: Midterm grades are due.
March 8 – 12: Spring recess (no classes). University is open during normal business hours.
March 22: Last day to withdraw from spring classes.

April 2021
April 26 – 29: Final exams. All exams take place Monday through Thursday.

May 2021
May 3: SUM I 2021 tuition and fees are due.
May 4: Spring final grades are due.
May 10: SUM I 2021 session begins at 8 a.m.
May 18: Begin recording withdrawals with a final grade of “W” on the transcript.

June 2021
June 7: Last day to withdraw from SUM I classes.
June 24: SUM II 2021 tuition and fees are due.
June 30: SUM I session ends.

July 2021
July 1: SUM II 2021 session begins at 8 a.m.
July 6: SUM I final grades are due.
July 10: Begin recording withdrawals with a final grade of “W” on the transcript.

August 2021
August 20: SUM II session ends.
August 24: SUM II final grades are due. There is no commencement ceremony held in August.
