PENDAHULUAN
1. Pembentukan Standard Kemahiran Pekerjaan Kebangsaan (SKPK)
• Tajuk
• Takrif Pekerjaan
• Training Prrofile yang merupakan jadual-jadual yang mengandungi
“Performance Standard”, langkah-langkah kerja, keperluan memboleh
(enabling requirement) dan peralatan dan perkakas.
Tahap 1
Trampil dalam melakukan sekumpulan duti pada tahap ini bagi bidang
pekerjaan berkaitan. Ketrampilan yang terkandung dalam tahap ini
kebanyakannya adalah “routine” dan “predictable”.
Tahap 2
Trampil dalam melakukan sekumpulan duti pada tahap ini. Ketrampilan
yang terkandung dalam tahap ini sesetengahnya adalah bukan “routine”
dan dilakukan dalam pelbagai konteks yang memerlukan tanggungjawab
persendirian dan autonomi.
Tahap 3
Trampil dalam melakukan sekumpulan duti pada tahap ini. Ktrampilan
yang terkandung dalam tahap ini merangkumi sekumpulan duti yang luas
dalam pelbagai konteks dan bukan “routine” dan autonomi serta perlu
memberi kawalan dan panduan kepada yang lain.

TAKRIF PEKERJAAN
Occupational Definition
An Industrial Sewing Machine Technician installs, set up and maintains sewing machines
in the apparel factory. A technician may work on several types of machines.
In general, he/she:
1. complies with work safety rules and regulations,
2. performs housekeeping at worksites
3. keeps sewing machine running efficiently and at a reasonable cost which include
scheduled maintenance, cleaning and lubrication,
4. fabricates sewing machine attachments under supervision,
5. installs new sewing machines and remove old ones, and
6. undertakes other related jobs as directed by his/her immediate superior from time
to time.
An Industrial Sewing Machine Senior Technician installs, set up, maintains and repairs
sewing machines in the apparel factory. A senior technician may work on several types of
machines or specialise in particular types such as buttoning machine or buttonholes.
In general, he/she:
1. complies with work safety rules and regulations,
2. repairs sewing machine when breakdowns occur,
3. keeps sewing machine running efficiently and at a reasonable cost which include
inspection, cleaning and lubrication,
4. reduces downtime to a minimum, when there is a breakdown, the technicians
should be able to repair and restart the machine in the shortest possible time,
5. installs new sewing machines and remove old ones, and
6. undertakes other related jobs as directed by his/her immediate superior from time
to time.
