Key Findings
Covering Brazil, Russia, India & China

• Brazil was the BRIC country with the lowest number of mobile phone subscribers, accounting for only 174
million in 2009.

• The share of B2C E-Commerce sales on total retail sales in Brazil reached 1.1% in 2009, up from 0.9%
in 2008.

• It is estimated that in several years, online tickets in Russia will account for 25%-30% of total ticket sales.

• Although Indian E-Commerce grew 30% between 2008 and 2009, its future development might be slowed
by the low broadband penetration.

• In the first half of 2009, there were 155 million mobile Internet users and nearly 320 million broadband
users in China
