Young man kills himself because of jealousy

A 21 year-old man shot himself with a gun after reading a text message from his girlfriend’s mobile phone Saturday night at Tondo, Manila.
Edison Roldan was declared dead on arrival on Mary Johnston Hospital because of major injury in his head.

In a report stated by Detective Gerry Amores of Manila Police District of Homicide Section, it was around 8:20 PM when the victim shot his head
a few minutes after his girlfriend, ,identified as Nicka, left him inside the room.

His Father, Eduardo Roldan, stated that Nicka came to their house around 7:15 PM. The victim and his girlfriend talked and Roldan heard some
arguments between the two. When Nicka left, he heard a gunshot from the room of his son and he hurriedly came to see what happened and
found the body of Edison full of blood.

It was discovered that the reason of the arguments of Nicka and Edison is because of the text message the victim found in his girlfriend’s mobile
phone coming from one of her suitors.

Jealous Lover Stabbed Ex-Girlfriend Over Facebook Photos

A jealous ex-boyfriend has been accused of stabbing his former girlfriend 20 times after he saw photos of her on Facebook with another man.
Internet technician Paul Bristol, of Trinidad, stands accused of murdering accountant Camille Mathurasingh, in her London home in 2009. Bristol
and Mathurasingh had met and started dating while Mathurasingh was working in Trinidad, the Telegraph reports. After three years abroad, the
accountant returned to the UK, where she and Bristol continued a long distance relationship.

However, according to the prosecuting attorney Simon Denison, Mathurasingh began seeing another man following her return to England. 'It
would appear she tried to bring about the end of her relationship with this defendant gently and did not tell him about her new boyfriend,' Denison
told the court. 'He found out when he saw pictures of them together on Facebook.'

The Times Online reports the alleged sequence of events leading up to Mathurasingh's murder. Mr Bristol arrived in the UK on April 2, 2009, and
by 1.30pm the next day he had killed her and stabbed himself several times, the court heard. He then drove her car at speed towards the centre
of London before crashing and flipping the vehicle over, the jury heard. He immediately told police that he had tried to kill his girlfriend and had
stabbed himself but when interviewed he refused to answer questions, it was alleged.

Bristol, 25, is pleading guilty to manslaughter. He is not the first to face jail time because of a Facebook-related dispute turned violent. In the
past two years alone, photos and other profile information posted on Facebook has led to a multitude of crimes.

Man Kills Wife for Changing Facebook Status to 'Single'

A man murdered his estranged wife after he became “enraged” that she had changed her marital status to single on the social networking site
Facebook. Edward Richardson, 41, was found guilty of stabbing to death Sarah Richardson, 26, a hairdresser, in her parents’ house in
Staffordshire on May 12 last year. Fiona Cortese of the Crown Prosecution Service said: “Richarsdon became enraged when Sarah changed her
marital status on Facebook to single and decided to go and see her as she was not responding to his messages.”

Stafford Crown Court heard that Richardson, a carpenter from Biddulph, Stoke-on-Trent, had sought out Mrs Richardson in her parents house
and entered by breaking the front door window. “Once inside he found Sarah in her bedroom and subjected her to a frenzied and brutal attack
with a knife and then attempted to take his own life,” said Ms Cortese. She said: “We hope that today’s guilty verdict will go some way to easing
the pain of Sarah’s friends and family after losing her in such a violent and abrupt way.”

British Man Sentenced to Prison for Hacking Wife to Death Over Facebook Status

A British man who killed his wife with a meat cleaver because she changed her Facebook status to "single" was sentenced to at least 14 years in
a U.K. prison Friday, the Daily Mail reported. Wayne Forrester, 35, was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine when he drove to their family
home and murdered his wife, Emma, as she slept in her bed. The couple had recently separated and Forrester felt humiliated when Emma
changed her relationship status to single on Facebook.

The police were called amid Emma’s screams for her life. Wayne emerged from the house, drenched in blood and gripping a carton of juice
when the police arrived. Holding his stained hands out for handcuffs, the Mail Online reports he told police, "Who called you? My wife is in there.
I killed her."

When the police found Emma’s butchered body, the Mail reports she had multiple head and neck wounds, her arms badly bruised from
defending her husband's blows. Clumps of her hair were trailing the hall outside the bedroom and two banister rails had been broken off.

"The whole incident seemed a blur. I felt I was watching somebody else attacking Emma," the Mail reports Forrester said in his defense.

"Your wife ended the relationship. Your reaction was one of anger and resentment,” said Common Serjeant of London Brian Barker QC, reports
the Mail Online. “There is no possible excuse or justification.”
