Sir, could you please give us some guide lines for Astrologers, who are beginners like me,

to assess
the transit effects of Planets, as these, we understand, duly triggers its basic Natal
Chart qualifications, related to the time in Desha, Bukti etc., - Chamundi Das.

The transit system rests on the concept that the movements of Planets in the
Zodiac every moment signify some good or evil. The birth chart of a native
foretells the physical and mental qualities and chief events of his life and career
through the position of his life and career through the placement of Planets in
Chart with related prospects and conditions of life along with timings basing the
placement of Lagna at the time of birth.

For example, when Sun is transiting through the 3rd, the 6th, the 10th and the
11th houses from the position of Moon in the birth chart, the native is promised
success, destruction of enemies all sors of rewards, including financial gains. Sun
moves through a house every month. This again subjected to favorable
combination of Planets in Desha, Bukthi etc. These results are possible only if the
corresponding ‘Vedha’ sign in each case is lft unoccupied in chart as well as the
movements of other Planets at the time of examination of the chart on Planetary
day to day movement. In case such movement is of other Planets in ‘Vedha’
position at that time, any contrary result could happen.

(Note: There is no Vedha between father and son – the Moon and Mercury; the Sun
and Saturn – do not harm each other through Vedha – Sl. 9 to 12 to be referred for
the auspicious places in transit and their corresponding Vedha places for the Sun
and other Planets –Chara Phala Prakaranm Ady 11: Kalaprakashika: JATHAKA
DESH MARGA.)

During their transit, all Planets give auspicious results in the 11th house counted
from Natal Moon.(i.e. if Aslesha is birth star, the Moon will be in Katak in Birth
chart. The 11th house from there will be Rishab. Exm: That Is, the Sun will have
Sanchara during the months – May 14 /15 to June 14th of every year – One could
expect that this month for Aslesha star born could have benefits from Sun’s
movement subject to other conditions defined)

The Sun is good when he passes through 3rd, 6th, and 10th,; mars and Saturn, in the
3rd and 6th; the Moon in the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th and 10th; Venus in all places, except 6th, 7th,
and 10th places; Jupiter in 2nd, 5th, 7th and 9th places; Mercury in 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th and
10th places; provided corresponding ‘Vedha’ places are not maligned by the trasit
of other planets.

While it will be long to list the benefits for these 6 Planets here, I will give you the
transit effect of Saturn as said in Sl:7 in the same chapter: the respective houses
and effects when Saturn transits through 12 houses from Janma Lagna (not
related to position on moon in birth chart):
1st house: grief from many ailments;

2nd: devoid of wealth and happiness;

3rd: rise in status, position, wealth, employment, servants and money;

4th: Loss of (life) partner, relations, wealth and happiness;

5th: liquidation of wealth and loss of happiness;

6th: defeat of enimies;

7th: promotes travelling and journeys;

8th: a chain of miseries and ailments;

9th: diseases and being ill – spoiling name;

10th : extreme poverty;

11th : acquisition of wealth;

12th: Loss of wealth – sudden fall of income or assets.
