PhilHealth Real Issues

Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has been accused with regards to a
fraudulent P15 Billion corruption schemes in the said agency. The release of funds is
questionable by the government and public. It has said that the agency disburse funds has been
funded to the COVID-19 patients of Mindanao. These seem to be questionable because
Mindanao does not have a large number of cases. The names written in the report is said to be
ghost patients. Because of it the income was said to be manipulated and the P154 Billion scam
have risen.
Department of Health secretary Francisco Duque III heed the call of 14 senators to resign
from his post due to failure of leadership, negligence, lack of foresight, lack of transparence.
