Work Experience

ROLLS-ROYCE JULY-AUG 2010

During my work experience at Rolls-Royce I worked alongside the
Corporate Communications team. Within the job I conversed with
customers and employees universally, wrote articles for the employee
‘World’ Magazine, created press releases for local press and attended
senior management meetings.

ESA MARKET RESEARCH AUG 2008- PRESENT

As a mystery shopper this involves every few months checking
company’s policies concerning alcohol, by completing questionnaires
and forwarding them onto ESA.

NEXT RETAIL, DERBY JUNE 2006- OCT 2007 (and) MAY – SEP

As a sales assistant I am there to deal with customers, complete tasks to a
deadline, clean, answer the phone etc. The role I took within the store is
versatile; I have had experience in all departments including the
stockroom. I am currently placed in the Home department which has
allowed me to work towards being a ‘home specialist’

NOV 2005
At Grangecraft I worked in the restaurant establishment, where I served
customers, waitresses tables, assisted the cook by making simple dishes
and cleaning.

VOLUNTEER WORK JUNE-AUG

2010
I worked at Cats Protection in Derbyshire one a week for a few months
during the summer of 2010. I helped out with general duties including
cleaning and fundraising events.

TRAVELLING NOV 2007-

Working and travelling my way through Australia, New Zealand, Fiji,
Thailand and Malaysia, gaining great world experiences.

PREFECT SEP 2004-JULY 2005

Nominated by teachers as a prefect, my responsibilities included arriving
early to monitor certain areas, whilst also being required to assist younger
students whilst remaining responsible at all times.

YOUNG ENTERPRISE SCHEME 2004-2005

Working alongside a team to create and manage a business, I took on the
role of the secretary, where I wrote down the minutes from the meetings
and rang different schools in the area to arrange times that we could sell
our product. Alongside this role I also helped to advertise and market the
product within Derby.

LAMDA EXAMS 2000-

2005
I was part of a drama school for 5 years and during that time took four
drama LAMDA exams passing all at a ‘Distinction’ level.
