Read the passage below and answer the question that follows.

The rate of road accidents is rising. While there is an increase in road accidents, there are
in fact many ways to avoid it.

First, do not play on the road. The road is a dangerous place to play on. Cyclists are
advised not to cycle abreast as they might be knocked down by motorists.

Always wear brightly coloured clothes at night. Dark-coloured clothes are not easily seen
at night. This is especially important for pedestrians and motorcyclists.

Next, youngsters are warned not to speed on the road. Speeding is very dangerous to
them and the other road users as well. Do not ever enjoy the thrill of speeding. It is your life that
matters.

Finally, always obey the traffic rules. Traffic rules are there for your safety, not for your
inconvenience.

Write a summary on the ways to avoid accidents on the road.

Your summary must:

• not be more than 60 words, including the 10 words given below
• be in continuous writing (not note form)
• be written in one paragraph

Use your own words as far as possible without changing its original meaning.
