Ans: A no boot can be caused by the failure of the hard disk or the corruption o
f the operating system.
When a new PC will not boot, a good place to start is the power supply. Is the m
achine getting power? If there is no fan activity at the rear of the power suppl
y, then the power supply isn't working. First, check the wall socket and power s
trip to make sure power is actually being supplied to the computer. If there is
power to the outlet, confirm that the | / O lever in the back is set to |. Then
confirm that the voltage is set to 110V in the USA or 220V in countries that req
uire that setting. If you have a voltmeter, you might want to consider testing t
he power supply.

CPU, BIOS, memory, mass storage interfaces, serial and parallel ports, expansion
slots, and all the controllers required to control standard peripheral devices,
such as the display screen, keyboard, and disk drive. Collectively, all these c
hips that reside on the motherboard are known as the motherboard's chipset.

computer. RAM is used to run certain basic programs and functions that your com
puter needs to operate correctly, and functions only while the computer is recei
ving power. Programs you're using are written in RAM temporarily while the compu
ter is processing them.
ROM:::ROM is an acronym for Read Only Memory, a type of unchangeable memory resi
ding in chips on your motherboard. ROM contains the bare minimum of instructions
needed to start your computer.
34.What is processor?
Ans: The processor (CPU, for Central Processing Unit) is the computer's brain. I
t allows the processing of numeric data, meaning information entered in binary f
orm, and the execution of instructions stored in memory.
35. Defragmentation
Ans:defragmentation is a process that reduces the amount of fragmentation in fil
e systems. It does this by physically organizing the contents of the disk to sto
