Layla Swart entered the world of film making in 2009 after completing a post-graduate degree in Film

feature films and television series, working in the production team of various international series such as
HBO’s The Young Pope directed by Oscar award winning director – Paolo Sorrentino and ABC’s Of
Kings and Prophets. Currently Layla is in development on four feature films set to shoot in 2017/2018.

the World Cinema Fund, Fond SUD and Arte Cinema. The film won two prizes at Critics’
Week at Cannes in 2010 and many awards at other international film festivals. Di’s second
feature film, Big Father, Small Father and Other Stories had its world premiere in official
competition at Berlinale 2015. He is also a producer of Flapping in the Middle of Nowhere,
which won best film at International Critics’ Week at Venice in 2014. Di organized the
“Autumn Meeting”, an international cinema event in Da Nang, Vietnam from 2013.

Dong Thi Phuong Thao est diplômée en littérature à

l’université de Hanoi, le premier documentaire de Dong
Thi Phuong Thao, Grandfather, un film personnel sur un
membre de sa famille, a été le tout premier documentaire vietnamien à être sélectionné
par l’IDFA, dans la catégorie « Voice of Southeast Asia ». Il a également été projeté dans
de nombreux autres festivals internationaux. Dong Thi Phuong Thao vient d’achever
une formation de scénariste à l’université nationale et une formation au Centre du film
documentaire et expérimental, réalisant des œuvres qui ont été projetées dans des
musées et des festivals en Asie du Sud-Est.
A graduate of Literature at Hanoi University, Dong Thi Phuong Thao’s first documentary,
Grandfather, a personal record of a member of her family, was the first-ever Vietnamese
documentary to be selected for IDFA, under the “Voice of Southeast Asia” section.
It also screened at numerous other international film festivals. She completed a cinema
scriptwriting course at the National University and independent documentary filmmaking
course at the Center of Documentary & Experimental Film, making works that have
screened in museums and festivals around Southeast Asia.
